Another week of the midget ruckman,may the fa/orce be with the Dees.

We should play King despite his lack of experience,we having noting to lose.Playing a midget ruckman,most times you get burnt,but King is 7 cm taller than Pedo. That's not to say Pedo can't ruck but his value will be up front. If any player has had a long lay off from injury surely you would expect Mission to have that person right ! The Dees can't afford another stupid loss especially to thge GC. Gawn should be back for the Pies,I do not expect him to play for Casey.

After yet another loss x 16 to NM,nobody of quality would be so stupid to join the Dees.

Forget about Tippett,doesn't have too many good days,would cost a lot.Sam Reid may be alright but not at a Melksham price.

Are we a destination club,possibly not,so we must recruit the right sort of young people who are going to be ready made AFL players. I don't think we should trade our first round pick and future 1st round pick. Who is going to be delisted and what is their trade value going to be.Hpoefully White,King and Maynard kick on.J.Smith will be a bonus. What can we trade,Spencer (4th rd pick),JKH (no value),Garland (no longer insurance hence no value). If we can score another Hunt,Petracca,Oliver,CHF and CHB that would be great but optimism over kill.

By rd 13 ( every team has played 12 games) my prediction is GWS,Adelaide,W.c 8 w 4 L ;P.Adel,W.b,St.k,Melb,Geel,Rich,Freo 7 w 5 L;Ess 6 w 6L,Haw,Swans,Coll 5w 7L;North,Carl,GC 4w 8 L,Brisb 2w 10 L. If we can achieve what I said in my above ladder,we should be able to make the 8. We have to beat North this w/e and hopefully we can get back Gawn,J.Smith,Hogan and perhaps V.B.

I did suggest trading Jesse ( not knowing of his real health issue) however I am sure that the coach will use him to the best of his ability.That may not be at CHF of FF.

Hope Hogan makes a speedy recovery,poor kid not having much luck lately.

Gus should retire so he's own good,it is a pity. We need to promote a rookie,who he is may surprise most of us.

Interesting to see Hogan out due illness(some may say injury).Personally I think Hogan's heart is not in it,whether it is the MFC or football in general. The club should trade Jesse at the end of the year.We should try to get LEVER (adelaide) and 2M Peter (Gold Coast),we also need to get a decent mid and a mid in waiting (back up). Gee I don't want much.As a club we don't seem to be able to fast track any new players,which is probably because the teams coaching staff are unable to think outside the square. Who is going to be our next big "thing" (nobody). The AFL need to give us a priority 2nd round pick meaning we get two picks. dimmy,good things come to those who wait you say. I have waited 53 yrs for the dees to succeed,i could be a tad unlucky don't you think. Sorry to say Gus is damaged goods,one more concussion will end his career.We can't expect to get anything for him,that's not to say we can't get a diamond in the rough.J.Smith will become a mid so will maynard in the future however that doesn't solve our current problems.

Are our experience players immuned from getting demoted? That would surely send a message to the rest of the team that you will get dropped if you slack off. I think the Swans ages ago dropped their captain.Anyone out there please correct an old so and so like me.

I am absolutely happy someone sent Goodwin a letter displaying their disgust with the club. Goodwin should give everyone a full membership refund for [censored] weak performance,basically the club might as well been run by any of the two major political parties,freakin taking us for granted. We need A.s.a.p if not sooner a clean out are the coaching and fitness staff,we seem to have too many of them.Instantly strip the captaincy from N.Jones and Viney,two many captains(cooks) spoil the "broth".We need new recruiters,the only decent young players we picked up is Petracca,Oliver and Hunt.The rest are useless to ordinary. Once again why didn't we get a forward/ruck instead of JKH,we have a team that is like swiss cheese lots of holes( inept players). I refuse to get a membership because of the [censored] that is associated with our team.The young newbies we recently recruited are a long way off from playing senior footy.We much have people running the club that are able to think outside the square,footy has evolved except for our club. To be brutally honest,it doesn't matter who comes in and who goes out.We don't have the "cattle" simple as that. The loss of Gawn and to a lesser extent Joel Smith was a huge blow. Spencer should have been delisted ages ago,yes he may play a good game as a replacement but like most replacements are not up to scratch. I would have pick a forward/ruckman in preference to Brayshaw and then follow up picking more mids. Oliver and Hunt are the two standouts.Tyson and Salem need to produce the goods. Personally I wouldn't have Nat Jones and Vince in the same side. Both have been around for a long time yet neither are stand outs. Weid,Bugg,Kennedy,ANB,JKH,O'MAC,Trengove,Hannan,Hulett,Wagner,VanderB etc are only up to VFL standard. King and White havn't progress in the VFL,thou King has been injured.Pedersen is too short be a quality ruck man,the club should have planned ages ago for a decent back up to Gawn. Out of the new recruits we picked up in the last draft what are we going to get out of them,they don't seem to be setting the world on fire. Perhaps it is wishful thinking on my part. The question I would like to ask Hogan,does he still want to play for the club.

The interesting comment someone made that Watts took 6-7 years to come good this was in respect to Weids performane/expectations. Watts probably would have matured quicker if we didn't have Neeld as a coach.Paul Roos basically had to cull most of the team. I have already given my views on changes v Hawks.
