49ers fan here too since 1988 when I was in San Francisco and purchased a 49ers jacket. A few weeks later they won the superbowl which was only a few months after our record breaking Grand Final loss. Jacket looked like this and I still have it somewhere. I should dig it out for the game but alas it's sized to fit a skinny 12 year old.

According to this article the 49ers are the "away" team and will wear white strip. They rotate the home team between conferences each year and this year the Chief's conference are the nominated "home" team.
