  1. On the plus side he didn't get to experience a freezing cold winter this year so best to lock him in now before he gets a taste next year.
  2. There will probably be a thread about that.
  3. I'll leave this post up as a reminder to not bring your personal politics into footy threads. It's fine to say that a player would prefer to leave Victoria to escape lockdown but no need to accentuate your point by bringing the politics into it from either side of the aisle.
  4. 100% Please don't take my next comment as carte blanche to devolve into a political debate but the COVID situation in Victoria & playing virtually the whole season in Queensland hasn't helped in making Melbourne, the city, his home. If he gets to go back to Perth over the off-season and experiences the freedoms back home, coupled with his current freedoms in QLD and then has to come back to a semi-lockeddown Melbourne, it won't be to our benefit. This isn't the clubs fault just bad timing.
  5. When I saw the tweet and his photo I was hoping that that was what the article was about. This is perhaps one of our most important re-signings. We need to lock him in.
  6. This. You'd think they'd be on the phone to Brown's management right now and throwing the sink at him with the freed up money they now have.
  7. Exactly.
  8. Close Thread?
  9. "Polec has had only extremely limited interest from one interstate club and despite an indifferent season where he was dropped is more likely to remain on the club’s list. The Roos are aware of his deficiencies as a player but at his best he remains a hard-running precise-kicking wingman, albeit one with limited physicality."
  10. I don’t think he’s worth pick 7 but kind of agree with this. if you’re willing to pay big bucks then you have to be willing to give up a first rounder.
  11. Take the discussion here: https://demonland.com/forums/topic/49120-viney-signs-until-2025/
  12. In October 2019 he re-signed with Hawthron until the end of 2022 after failing to land the top job at Adelaide. https://www.hawthornfc.com.au/news/460862/yze-signs-on
  13. Was pretty impressive against the Eagles. Just what we need.
  14. Didn’t someone mention that his contract with Hawthorn prevented him from leaving unless it was a higher position (ie: coach). Perhaps the post-COVID rules will enable a parallel move.
  15. I’d play him one out in the square as a small/medium sized forward.
