very interesting... the bank account could suffer now. any details on it? thanks heaps

Just that they want to make sure they sell the tickets so they've opened up a new bracket in pricing.

This seating will be "non-preferred" but all seating in the crown palladium will be fine. Also all "preferred seating" tables will have a club player or "hero" this isn't a feature of the non-preferred seating.

The club has done it's best to make this seating affordable as they can, but the cost of putting the event on is considerable, given the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra will be performing and it is held in the Crown Palladium, so while it is still quite expensive, the night should be an amazing one.

Before I spoke to him, I set myself a limit that I was willing to pay, which was $300. But I think I'm going to cop the extra $50 and attend.

There will never be a Melbourne FC function like this again, so I really don't want to miss it.

Still probably out of my range as a uni student, but certainly makes it much more likely.

Why doesn't the club raffle a table?

Offers some supporters the chance to attend who normally would not be able to.

I can't afford $500 but will definitely buy $10 or so of raffle tickets for a chance to go. Sell more than $5000 of raffle tickets and club comes out on top.

I called the club today and bought my ticket. I've got a friend coming along too. Really looking forward to it now. Should be a fantastic night.

If you're not sure if you want to go, watch the ad again... listen to the music, it will be an epic night, I have a feeling... $350 tickets are still available...

The club should put this dinner on for free considering the amount of people who have laughed at me for barracking for melbourne all my life! From my days at school in the seventies right up to last week!! $500 you must be joking!!

I would not spend $500 on a dinner night, sorry but its too much, $250 would have been my max.

I'm going - very excited

Tickets are now available for $350... get on board...

Two other points about this dinner, which I also thought was too expensive. A selection team has chosen the best 150 players still alve and they, and their wives/partners, are receiving freebies. The more I think about it, that's fair enough isn't it? BUT it adds considerably to the cost. The MSO will not be playing live-but they will have recorded music for the occasion.
Come on! Let's support it if we can, especially at the new offer of $350

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
