Todays training

Featured Replies

I went to Sandy this morning to watch the boys train.

It was quite windy and alot of the blokes missed kicked because of this. They were kicking way to high.

Just a few things I noticed:

- Bruce didn't kick a single goal (that I saw) and most of the time he missed the lot.

- Davey looked fine to me - He ran around perfectly and was very accurate in his kicking.

The boys looked quite calm and hopefully it won't be a total thrashing at skilled tomorrow.

Thanks morton10

Rivers was running perfectly - I couldn't see a single thing wrong with him.

He was even quite accurate in his goal kicking - I didn't see him get anything but goals when he aimed.

At the end of the training he did some spoiling duels with chopper and he did quite well while doing that.

I can't wait for him to play either. I'm really hoping that he plays stands up and plays like how we need him to play and how he played before his injury.

I guess Bruce found the goals when it counted on matchday. The old saying, ' A bad rehearsal leads to a good performance' was pretty true on this occasion.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
