On what they say about us missing out on Judd

What did Dean Bailey have to say

What the winners said

Anything else mentioned about danners

Who presented the trophy to the best and fairest winner.

Thanks.

More than anything I am interested in what Dean Bailey says

And perhaps any hints as to whether Robbo is being traded, or anyone else for that matter

According to Fox Sports News, James McDonald won the B & F on 260, ahead of Nathan Jones (190) and Matthew Bate (176). I find it staggering that McDonald won by such a large margin. I thought Jones is stiff to miss out on winning it actually. Petterd won best first year player, Newton most improved.

LOL what?

How can it be over at 8:15?

Interesting but not surprising, good to see Jones and Bate in the top 3.

its not true

There is no way the count can be over this early

I know. I was quite surprised to see it too. Go to Fox Sports Active if you've got Foxtel. Lynden Dunn won the Best Clubman award and Brad Green the Best Team Player.

Probably no one turned up except the players, and the just handed out the trophies...

That would top off a brilliant day, wouldn't it.

Brad Green/ Jeff White's 2007 >>>>>>>>>> Matthew Bate's 2007

Staggering.

Dunno about that

Bater was great

White just went

Jones = best player in 2007

How can Junior be so far ahead of Jones?

And Bater 3rd?

I guess the voting would have been all over the place, with Neale leaving half way through the season and all.

Well done to Junior though. 2 times B&F winner!

I think you'll find that I actually picked Bate for a top 5 finish a while back. I thought he had a terrific 10 weeks (beginning with the first Port Adelaide game) and there weren't too many others worthy of getting votes.

If Matthew Bate has come 3rd then it's just about the biggest joke of the year

Strange these results came out before the event had even concluded.

My most recent update from my mate there was Petterd best first year player and Bruce leading after round 10. I received that after seeing all the results on here.

thats not all true (because everyone else hardly played 15 games) mcdonald, jones and bate played most of the games.

I think we should wait for something official, like an article to appear on the website saying "because our facilities are not good enough, we decided to scrap the B&F, but we are honoured that 44 players wanted to play for our club in 2007";)

LOL now the facilities at my house are sufficient (I believe) and I have just checked and under the Fox Sports news there is breaking news with all the results that are mentioned on this site. Also Brad Green came 4th with 170

Good on you Junior.

Couldn't think of a more deserving winner (except for maybe Jones!) and a more perfect replacement for Neitz, if need be.

Couldn't disagree more. McDonald was better than Chunk this year, a lot better. Not saying Jones was bad definitely top 2 or 3 but Junior would be the most deserving winner.

These smack of bogus results - I'd expect Doggy to poll highly.

msg from the event. Jmac from Jones, Bate, Green and Davey.

Bate and Davey polled a little better then i expected. I would have thought White and Brown may have been in the top 5.

Well done Junior! He is the first player since Stynes to win consecutive best and fairests. Always thought it would be a McDonald/Jones quinella, but a little surprised to see Davey so high.

Bate deserved 3rd spot

Look at some of his games this year

Round 4 - 19 disposals, 6 marks, 1 goal

Round 6 - 24 disposals, 10 marks, 2 goals

Round 7 - 19 disposals, 5 marks,1 goal

Round 10 - 16 disposals, 7 marks, 2 goals

Round 11 - 18 disposals, 10 marks, 2 goals

Round 12 - 20 disposals, 7 marks, 1 goals

Round 13 - 17 disposals, 3 marks, 1 goal

Round 14 - 19 disposals, 7 marks, 3 goals

Round 15 - 21 disposals, 5 marks

Round 17 - 12 dosposals, 6 marks, 2 goals

Round 22 - 18 disposals, 7 marks, 2 goals

Now before you say stats arent everything, this bloke isnt playing as loose man across half back a la Joel Bowden.

He was a 19 year old kid thrown into the cauldron and asked to play as roaming CHF.

You hear the media crap on about Travis Cloke, but the fact is Matthew Bate has him and most other kids his age covered.

Congrats to Junior. I am a little surprised that Jones didnt win it, but McDonald had a solid year. A testament to his character to win 2 in a row.

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE
