With a few likely to com back in the team, who will Riley drop?

I don't think Jace Bode will play again to honest. Frawley is injured. Will Ferguson have a legitimate opponent? maybe

he'll play on Rocca so Dutchy can stay fwd? no i doubt it. I don't think Bruce will play, he was out for two weeks it said last week, no point in risking a hamstring.

ins

McLean, Bate, Buckley

out

Frawley(inj), Bode, one of Sylvia/Ferguson/Moloney

Buckley comes back after supposedly being BOG for sandy. McLean and Bate back from injury. Sylvia has been average and needs a run at sandy to get his confidence up.

Match ups

Holland-Rocca

Carroll-Cloke

Bell-Medhurst

Davis-Buckley

McDonald-Burns

Dunn-Lockyer

Nietz-Pretsi

Newton-Wakelin

O'brian/Clement-Robbo

Brown/Shaw

I think they will be the matchups. I think they will attempt to use Brown as a negative tagger on H Shaw. Whether Carroll gets Cloke or Bell gets Cloke we don't know. I think they'll try to play Ferguson fwd assuming he stays in the team. Bell will murder Medhurst and i think it would be good for Buckley top[lay on Davis. The rest are pretty standard matchups, Dunn and Macca to tag and we know the fwd line drill. Hopefully Robbo can snag a few as he usually struggles against and obrien/clement type.

Demons by 6 points!!!

Mine,

B: Bell Holland Brown

HB: Wheatley Carroll Bruce

C: Johnstone McDonald Green

HF: Bate Newton Pickett

F: Davey Neitz Robertson

Foll: White McLean Jones

Int: Jamar, Dunn, Ferguson, Maloney.

This side would smack the Pies.

Only problem is Robertson will have Clement to worry about this time.

If you remember earlier in the year, Robbo kicked 7 in Clement's absence.

Perhaps it's time for Bate, Newton, Davey, or Neitz to do some major damage on the scoreboard.

GO DEES!

What will decide match ups is where Holland walks to at the start of game.

If Holland walks forward.

Neitz vs. Clement

Holland vs. Presti

Robbo vs. O'Brien

Rocca vs. Carrol

Cloke vs. Frawley (if he comes up) or Fergie.

Medhurst vs. Bell

If Holland walks back.

Neitz vs. Presti

Robbo vs. O'brien

Clement causing havoc as more of a loose man.

Rocca vs. Holland

Cloke vs. Carrol

Medhurst (still gonna get his arse kicked) vs. Bell

Clement won't play on Neitz.

Clement will pick up Robertson either way.

Remember, Robertson kicked 7 last time we played the pies.

They will want to shut him down early. And with Clement glued to him, Robbo will have a very quite game I would have thought.

Clement runs team crazy O'brien is there main defender on Robbo. He started on him last time around but got hurt opening minutes.

O'brien gets the biggest job each week. Clement chops off the play. That is why Clement has high possesion and O'brien stops the man. O'brien plays the premier defensive role. Not Clement. O'brien will be on Robbo. Presti is most likely for Neitz. But O'Brien will be on Robbo. I'll see you in the MCC bar bwell and if im right. Your shout.

Clement didn't play against us last time.

O'Brien may very well play on him but if Robbo gets on top of him, Clement will be a sure thing.

MCC bar? Mate, I don't even know you & no I don't give me number out to guys in forums - FREEEEEK!

What will decide match ups

Forward or backward there are only a handful of options anyway. People who think Ferguson can match up on Rocca are crazy. And you're all forgetting their other tall matchup need for Newton.

If we are going to win the game, it will be because our midfield will beat their same old ploddy one.

No question about it.

Well said Maurie!

As bWell said. Clement wasn't playing last time.

In past years, Clement has played on Robertson - and done well.

With their future superstar Pendlebury out and Swan carrying an injury, we will win the midfield easily.

Scott Burns can't carry them forever.

Indeed.

At best, Ferguson can play on Josh Fraser.

Ch.10 said that Didak will be back, and they will decide tomorrow if Buckley comes back through Williamstown or straight back into the seniors. I'd hate for that FIGJAM to steal the limelight away from Neita! <_<

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
