Devil’s Advocates Function - Wednesday 25 March 2026

Featured Replies

I’m a little on the late side coming to the party here but it’s my pleasure to report that one of the club’s supporter groups, the Devil's Advocates are making a comeback after a few years in recess with a major function - a dinner to be held on 25 March 2026 in the legal precinct of the CBD.

The group consists of people from the legal fraternity including solicitors, barristers, judges, paralegals, court and legal office staff, law graduates and law students and retired lawyers like me. I’m not sure about this but the group might include past guests of His Majesty (upon application only😃).

Special guests at the dinner will be Steven King, Steven Smith and Paul Guerra.  The cost of the night is $190 per head and includes a two course meal and drink.  If you are interested, you should contact Ralph Glezer by email at [email protected]

As per the invitation below and there are limited spaces still available, the RSVP date is today but an extension of time has been given until all sold out. So get in fast.

The Devil’s Advocates have the full approval of the Melbourne Football Club.

Does a discount apply if the proposed attendee has appeared before His Honour Judge Roger Bullingham at the Old Bailey or repaired for a glass of plonk at Pomeroy's Wine Bar?

It’s Game Day and the Demons have made the long trip west to take on Fremantle tonight at Optus Stadium. Can Melbourne make it two from two to start the season, and what are you hoping to see from the Dees under the lights in Perth?

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.
