What about stalking. I'm sure it was you outside Melky's house. It was the sheet that gave you away😁

I was NOT lurking around Melky’s windows! There’s no proof so it never happened.

I do like what he’s done with his lounge room though

At the time of leaving the Crows it was widely reported that the Adelaide fitness staff & SM didnt see eye to eye about his fitness levels. And he only averaged 14 games a year while at the Crows.

He came to his first pre season at Melbourne in pretty average shape & subsequently had a poor first year.

I would have expected someone with his record to come back on the first training day even if he is not contracted to do so.

Show some initiative, just walk the boundary & meet people.

He might be a great person but he's delivered nothing so far & the signs aren't good.

Find it grossly unfair judging anybody on what other people do or say . None of us know him (other than the footy field) ..don’t know what’s happening in his world. Let’s just judge on what happens this year.

I'm judging him on his actions. Turned up to pre season in poor shape & delivered nothing on the field in fact he was quiet undisciplined playing at Casey.

He was unlucky last year & I wish him well but he is 30 & averaging 9 games a year so its looking like a major bust.

Nice to be called a whippersnapper though, I'm 40!

On Demonland, 40 IS whippersnapper territory!

I disagree that it's a "bad investment" on balance i'd say it's a "terrible investment."

If you’re going to take on a profile name of Ted Lasso, shouldn’t you perhaps, be taking on a more conciliatory position 😉

Hold if on the criticism at least until a few upcoming training sessions are done.

I would suggest everyone holds off the criticism full stop. He was putting in the effort over the last preseason, and by all reports looking the goods, until he was floored by an Achilles injury, which I’m sure he would have preferred not to suffer! He didn’t choose to get injured, and for the fact that he is still prepared to try to get himself back on the park, he should be lauded rather than admonished!

I’d love to see him succeed, although I do get the feeling time may be his biggest enemy, but if not, then I’m not going to begrudge him seeing out his contract, at least playing competitive footy at Casey.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
