Ricky Mentha good start goal!

Casey missing a couple of opportunities they need to grasp.

Box Hill look accomplished and will be serious challenge.

Sam Frost at full back hoping for some Frosty ball!

Backline all at sea at the moment. Jed Adams not having a great start. The Dawks ball movement is pretty slick.

Sinnema is bigger than I had imagined.

Casey exhibiting silky skill !! 🙄🙄

and elite decision making.

Need to get a lot better than this dross if wanting to win.

I have watched the first 12 minutes and will turn it off. We have the most unskilled ball butchers in this club. They could not hit the side of a barn from 10 metres. It is the same suspects every week. Apologies, but Brown has no ball skills at all. Jed Adams tries a bullet pass and kicks it straight to the opposition. It is like watching the seniors yesterday. Mentha showing a bit is the only glimmer of hope.

They could clear 10 players from the list with a new coach, but they wont

K Brown is a real worry. His ball use is atrocious.

The Dawks are going to kill Casey today. Casey looks disinterested.

Anyone know how to stick a tackle ?? Bloody hell.. laughable

Casey with 12 inside 50s to 6 and still getting beaten. Sounds familiar.

Box Hill looking look ominous 3rd goal.

Jack Billings busy.

Casey getting copious inside 50’s but not effectual.

Hawks waltz thru 3 attempted tackles 4th goal.

Kaos ball v systematic approach who wins?

Not a lot of team first footy. Lot of first option handballs ignored and dump kicks when there are players nearby for the releasing hand pass.

After a fast start, the Hawks took the initiative and lead by 17 points at the break.

QT Box Hill Hawks 4.1.25 lead Casey 1.2.8

Goal Mentha

Disposals Billings 11 Bonner 8 Brown Laurie Mentha 7

The Casey forwards must get so frustrated. The delivery inside fifty is putrid. Not one kick to advantage which gives the three big fellas bugger all chance.

Lots of handballing off target..

Lots of dinky passes that ONLY just find team mate.

A 5yo ould slip some of our tackles....

Footy I.Q.. ( still in bus looking for the ground i reckon )

Hawks going to have a feast at this rate.

Chicken before the egg or egg before the chicken?

TJ showing some signs of competitive juice, the younger blokes are struggling big time.

The better players need to start showing their acumen. A rabble atm

Baldi a momentum killer on multiple occasions.

Laurie finishes nicely for our second, just about best on so far for the Dees with Billings also having a typical Billings game

Spargo thinks he’s Gryan Miers with the cute kicks and hand passes but is nowhere near skilful enough. Needs to simplify everything.

Get your smiling gear around this…

It ain’t pretty but Casey conjure two goals!!!

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.

Salem proved to be a valuable contributor as a reliable and solid one-on-one medium-sized defender in what was undoubtedly his most impressive season since the premiership year. He remains a highly capable rebounding option for the Demons as he approaches his 200th game at the club.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

Following an injury-interrupted start to the season, McVee struggled to maintain the standard he established in 2025 as he pursued an expanded role within the team structure. He remained a firm fan favourite and the club had hoped to negotiate a new contract with the former rookie selection from Western Australia, whose partner, Lily Johnson, plays for Melbourne's AFLW side. Those hopes were dashed when he expressed his desire to return to his home state and play for Fremantle. Like all players who have worn the red and blue and are leaving this year, we wish him well in the future.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca

The superstar Demon midfielder made a successful return to the fold after his devastating injury last year and the subsequent fallout from the treatment he received, during which time he sought to depart the club. Petracca's professionalism and strong play, both in the midfield and up forward, were outstanding and resulted in him being runner-up in the club's best and fairest count. However, early this week, the club's new CEO, Paul Guerra, confirmed that the under-contract Petracca has again requested a trade, adding that he would only be allowed to leave for a “quality offer that turns our head". No doubt some Demon heads are already spinning.
