Ticketing: Looking for spare barcode

Featured Replies

Hey all, long time lurker here!

Just taking a chance if anyone is willing to let me borrow a spare membership barcode to purchase just a couple of tickets, unfortunately I haven't been able to get a membership this year and there's no allocation left for GA. Apologies if this is against the rules and for bothering everyone in advance.

Cheers!

There's some expensive GA seats still available on the top deck of the Olympic and the bottom deck of the Southern if you don't have any luck here.

This is a general warning and not directed at the original poster, but it's an important reminder for everyone in the community.

When you share your membership barcode with someone, you’re potentially giving them unrestricted access to use that barcode at any time. Once a barcode is shared, it can be used multiple times, at any time, without your knowledge.

While finals may feel like a distant dream this year (and yes, we acknowledge this might not be the most relevant season to be raising finals concerns), it's still worth considering. In a year where finals access is on the line, you could easily find yourself not able to purchase finals tickets simply because you gave someone your barcode and then when purchasing tickets for finals (or for bigger games like ANZAC Eve or Kings Birthday) your barcode has already been used.

Again, this isn’t aimed at the original poster, but a heads-up for anyone who shares their barcode. Please be cautious. Once your code is out there, you can’t control how or when it’s used.

60K would be a decent crowd this week, 70K absolute max - why would there not be a truckload of GA seating available?

All good everyone! Appreciate the responses, GA tickets are still available, I was wondering why they said allocation exhausted last night, but they are back up for sale now, so no worries!

They exhausted them last night because they were setting the general admission areas for the ground. Once they set those they work out whether they think they can sell more GA in addition to the expected GA member turnout which tends to be massive for this games

it is still going to draw between 65-75 based on ticket sales.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
