Just curious when you think the list is primed for success?  I don’t think we will make finals this year but think we will be in better shape next year when a lot of those younger players you mentioned might impact games more.

Injuries permitting, we'll finish in the 8 this year.

We could finish higher but it depends on that little bit of luck, and momentum.

For me, it's really about how quickly we can master the new game style, and how straight we kick this year.

Looking @ the fwds pies have brought in Mcstay & Membry, early days yet will be interesting to see how our VFL recruit comes along

Sorry, but my inner pedant (yes, I’m revolting) couldn’t pass this up… how is it possible to finish higher than finishing in the eight?

God knows.

We’ll need to have a season of biblical proportions!

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
