It’s not really about muscle it comes down to core strength and strength through the legs to be able to push away from opponents. He’s not ready.

But where is he???

You must be watching the wrong player. Part of the Dukes success and style last year was his ability to accelerate out of traffic and deliver to other players.

Watch the goal vs Port where he ran around opposition and kicked a match winning goal.

Thats what separates him from others is his break away skill even in traffic. There were plenty of times he was in heavy traffic and he had very little trouble in getting a quality disposal for our advantage.

With extra weight on the year he will be even more equipped and ready for breakaways.
Whether in the centre of the ground or elsewhere he is primed and ready to continue and improve and also I hardly recall any times that he was. Caught holding the ball at all last season.

Let the Duke  run free and create his magic!!

ANB played an important role in recent years, particularly covering for Petracca in defensive transition. I would like to see Langdon play this role this year, which is a 50% mid and 50% high half forward role.

I don't really see the benefit of playing Langdon as a centre bounce midfielder. Gawn, Kossie and Petracca should be in most centre bounces IMO and that leaves only one spot for Viney, Oliver, Rivers, Langford and Sparrow.

Love a goals does Langers!

I reckon you've hit the nail on the head here FT.

I reckon this might be the role (ANB role) he will be playing going forward.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.
