i can see us winning a few games this year

i know that sounds silly, and obvious, but think about it, 5 players are still to walk back in. mclean, rivers, wheelan, robertson, petterd. pickett is part of our best side when fit, and i think bartram is as well, but he will prob need to come back through sandy if petterd is playing well for the dees. thats 7 players who i think should be in our starting 22 and prob 3 of our top 6 or 7...injury problems are a long way from over and i think once we get mclean, rivers and wheelan back we will be a much different side.

No doubt the doggies would have scored a few less goals had Whelan and Rivers been playing. Bruce would have been freed up and played in the centre. Brock in the centre and Robbo playing foward. Wow. And we only lost by 6 points...

It annoyed me today when Rocket said on the interview after the game that we were pretty much back to full strength. He would've known who was missing.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, but yeah - it's not on the money. McLean, Rivers, Whelan, and Robertson are walk-up starts while I'd squeeze Bartram and Pettard into the team. That's ignoring Pickett.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
