Women's World Cup

Featured Replies

The current campaign deserves it's own thread.

And I'm leading off with Mackenzie Arnold, who is the Australian equivalent of Stephen Curry for ice water in the veins. I still can't get my mind around the pressure of keeping a penalty decider in Australia's biggest match to date, missing a penalty to win Australia's biggest match and then going back to keeping and saving against the same player twice. Absolutely legendary performance. This is not just me being caught up in the emotion of the game either but I actually find the Women's game more fun to watch, there is less cheating, that usually drives me insane, and as per @Nascent makes me half hearted about football. Where as I've really enjoyed these WC games.

Also this is where I see the AFLW going in terms of skill and fitness, these women were running over 30km/h which is not shabby at all. AFLW will get better too.

Flag seen flying in Somalia 😉, picture forward to Head of UN here (who is French 😜

I do agree.
Should just skip the game and have a penalty shootout.

Bloody hell, on a field mission, unable to watch, come back to this sour news. I feel like I’m the kiss of death when I get positive about anything.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
