Hi all,

could anyone tell me if training is at Casey tomorrow? I’ve got a young fan who would be quite chuffed to be there, even if it’s looking through the fence.

I can’t be 100% sure if they are training tomorrow but I don’t believe they will be in the morning as they have team photo day until mid to late morning.

Very kind Demonland.
I’m looking after the young man on Monday’s and he is a huge fan. He insisted we go last week to Gosch’s paddock and had to settle for watching the opposition at Olympic Park. Got a couple of cheeky comments about the Pettracca and Oliver t-shirt he was wearing (Maynard suggested his head would look better), but happily posed for a photo with Mason Cox. He didn’t think they looked the goods and was glad to hear the Dees were training the house down.
thanks again.

Its all on again in 17 days. Carlton losing would be a great start to the Round.

SEN commentators will freak out.

I don't know why they'd freak out. Haven't Carlton lost Round 1 for the last 40+ years?

Carlton beat Richmond in Round 1 last year.

OK, but how about the 39 years before that?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

It's Game Day and the Demons face a monumental task as they take on the top-of-the-table Magpies in one of the biggest games on the Dees calendar: the King's Birthday Big Freeze MND match. Can the Demons defy the odds and claim a massive scalp to keep their finals hopes alive?

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
