If this is true I couldn't give a stuff. Our season was going down the toilet and one of our leaders had the temerity to do something about it. If anything it is good coaching by May.

A team that can think for themselves on field is not a bad thong. I know we're a system based team and its easy to think we should just have a field of drones but with 5 mins left and staring down the barrel how much do you want to stick with the system?

This kind of stuff has happened in every sport I've played and at top level. Watch this video Will Schofield made a decision in the 2018 GF to pee bolt forward leaving De Goey on his own. In a weird way it helped as McGovern ended up in the position Schofield would have been in and being more of a floater he took that mark which started the infamous chain down the field.

Point is this stuff happens and when it comes off there isn't a lot of complaing. Goodwin has a right to be aggrieved but I'm sure he'll get over it.

I hope for Goodwin's sake it was his call rather than May's.

Petty was responsible for literally every score involvement which gave us a faint chance, and therefore I assumed it was good coaching by a coach that didn't have a great 2022.

It doesn't sound like Goodwin at all in my view

Thank God someone is prepared to make calls when under the pump ie TRYING TO WIN THE BLOODY GAME!!!

And if it was made by May great proactive move, should've been made 5 minutes earlier

Petty to CHF was the move to make at 3 quarter time. Joel Smith to replace a mid/small.

We had no marking presents in the F50 all from R11 till the Finals series the good teams took advantage of this.

Teams knew this and were rebounding for fun against us.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
