Hopefully we can snare a flag before the team is raided but happy for women's football with this.

Our recruitment has been very smart over the past few years for both male and female teams. We went to the draft last year because we knew how compromised future drafts would be due to this expansion. We added Bannon and McNamara to go with youngsters such as Zanker, Hanks and Petrevski. 

We are well placed to be a contender for the next 4-5 years i reckon.

I think this is a mistake personally, said it after the recent expansion as well. Why are they rushing this? The talent pool needs to be built, there needs to be the grass roots injection to get the players playing at a standard that people go to watch and say without a doubt "they are the best of the best". Instead I feel like there is going to be backward step where we watch matches and get frustrated while others mock it. 

These other clubs had their opportunity and turned their noses up at it, Melbourne and the Bulldogs pushed the case early seeing that women deserved a league to call their own. Anyway, rant over. Hopefully we're able to get a premiership before the talent gets raided.
