Makes one hold one's breath. Didn't see this one but have seen some ancient (of course) footage. It was in our clubrooms years ago when we all played footy hard and fast. The room went silent across about 150 people, the exhibition was so good. Even then, we only saw a sample of the goals he kicked, not all of these. It made even Huddo look average. Thanks for this, great keepsake.

Just saw it on Twitter and saved it

Such a legend. It's nice to still have some kind of significant record that will likely never be broken. Thanks for sharing.

Goodwin probably would have played him in the backline after that!!

Surely that is one record that will never be broken...

... until the AFL decide that vfl records no longer count.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG after a dismal performance in Gather Round to face the reigning dual Premiers Brisbane. What do expect to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
