$peaking of Money, Cash & coins, Irradiate our Money.

Featured Replies

Is It time for the government to start to Irradiate our money,   notes and coins,  to alleviate the spread from contacting  $$$  surfaces.?.

.

.

Its said, the surfaces cam maintain live SARS virus,  for 9 a day period.

"" Some studies on other coronaviruses, including Sars and Mers, found they can survive on metal, glass and plastic for as long as nine days, unless they are properly disinfected. ""

cash money What is that??

The smartest move is to pay by card. If you can’t avoid cash, then you take your chances. There’s no way that all money already in circulation can be irradiated and if an attempt was made, the danger would have passed by the time the task was completed.

Most spending occurs digitally these days. The private banks issue loans by crediting debtors' bank accounts. The central banks spend by crediting bank accounts - overt monetary financing it's called.

I did think about this the other day though. We're quite lucky that most transactions are digital these days. I'm sure it's stopped the spread to some degree.

I recall during the Ads crisis (can anyone remember that), which was a blood borne transmission, that it was pointed out to me that the greatest spreader of disease was cash.

especially men who wipe, sneeze, blow nose into a cloth and stuff it into their pockry, conveniently located near their body(groin) which is maintained at a perfect temperature for incubating  any virus.

Money is then put into the pocket to pick up any stray remnants of anything that may be surviving.

Like the argument that peanut bowls on pub counters contain overwhelming traces of urine from men who fail to wash their hands appropriately after visiting the toilet this may be an apocryphal tale, but it is just another indication of the complicated risks that life throws at our human face.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

I’ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we won’t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything you’d like to ask or say below and we’ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics you’d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.
