He must be developing a diverse range of skills by being moved 'around' as he is no 'dumbum' onfield, in his adaptation and intent. In a static positional shift to look after, I'd reckon that the opposing coaches would be rather easily able to work out his skillset, placing a negating influence on that role in short time. He would also be more likely to get hammered frequently. Nope, I like his diversity and his capacity to elicit varied skills from within his developing repertoire of craftsman-like attributes. Go, Fritschy!

The big advantage is that he is 8th on the tagging list for opponents. He is a real find and his mental capacity to absorb and learn new roles makes hm a terrific prospect.

p.s. Maybe he could look after Buddy on Sunday.

Reason : Quick enough, Left Footed so thinks LH . Any wins he has will ensure we score at thew other end because Sydney t6hink it is all over when it goes into Budderitory

I was thinking he’s more Gunston-like... and I don’t mean Norman.

Hey, I mentioned that a few months ago !!!

Glad you agree with me, but acknowledge your source ...

Who's having a better season? Watts or Fritsch?

All I could say is im glad both have spent so much time setting themselves up for a career after footy. Fritter as a tradie and Watts as a swimsuit salesman.

Oddly enough bingers, you weren't my source - my son is ready to deck me if I keep making the comparison each time we watch a game.  I suppose the "Jack, not Norman" thing is pretty obvious if you're from a certain generation.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
