New Role for Todd Viney

MELBOURNE great Todd Viney will have more varied football department responsibilities this year as part of a Demons reshuffle.

Viney's new wide-ranging duties will see him provide support for Melbourne's fitness, recruiting and coaching staff, while still being an authoritative voice on list decisions.

Melbourne's national recruiting officer, Tim Lamb, will have an increased role and take over some of Viney's former tasks, with senior coach Simon Goodwin keen to get him more involved.

Not the worst idea DA. Would hope to have PJ around for a couple of more years though.

Wasn't overly impressed with Mahoney as an assistant coach, but he is an absolute asset as GM of football.

List decisions and fitness eh! Well Mark Neeld says Hi, as we still are yet to work out who voted for Jimmy the great!

Fitness hnmm, Ok, a bit of Home grown nous from a pro tennis background might be great when adjudicating these decisions. After all, too many blokes with qualifications might be overkill.

Good Luck Todd, May the force be with you!
