Jones Forward?

I went along to training 2 weeks ago with the specific aim of looking at the players in rehab. I spent 15 mins watching Jones in competitive work and he certainly didn't look like a player who was struggling with a calf. So I'm interested in what you have observed or who have you spoken to that makes you think the injury is "much worse"?

Thanks, Jones had a good solid main session at Maroochydore, I was told by a reliable source

I don’t, he is still connected within the Club and his “mail” is generally pretty good...

You will find Lyon's 'influence' at the club  has declined badly since the new regime took over, he like a lot of other 'journalists gets his info second hand from sites such as Demonland or interpreting Ben Guthrie's articles on AFL website in the negative

Thanks, that's very good news on both fronts.

We need a fit Jones over the season, not one playing a week at a time nursing injury.

I'm afraid Garry lost me a long time ago.

Thanks Saty, Jackaub hasn't replied to my question so one can only assume they are off getting in touch with their feelings.

He's really not. He gets his info from Bigfooty. They even joked about it on SEN once.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.
