America is collapsing on itself.

How bad will it be allowed to get?

It has started repairing marginally since Obama has gone but it has a long way to go and Trump needs to concentrate on leading rather than tweeting.

The media will kick and squeal at everything Trump does. Abit like when George Bush used to get tongue twisted it would make news around the world and everybody would have a good laugh but when it happened to Obama no news outlet found it funny or would report it.

Hardtack found some GIF of Trump and thought it worthy of posting. It wasn't funny but was posted in the name of humour. I challenged him to post a joke or something mildly funny about Obama or the Clintons and of course he couldn't or wouldn't. The leftist crowd are a herd who think things are funny if it is about someone of the right but would find the same thing unfunny if it was one of their own. Humour should be judged on the content not the subject.

No matter what Trump does it wont please the leftist crowd even though plenty of his policies are what the left were championing not long long ago.

America is not collapsing under Trump it was in collapse well before he hit the scene. I hope he drains the swamp.

Trump is one big lie. He is not even close to being a politician

he doesn't read, gets his newsfill from FOX

It is actually very concerning. If there is collusion with Russia, is it merely for Donald's business interests?

we don't know and he aint going to tell.

Trump is now running America like a business, which cannot work.

His family is also crossing the line.

I am no fan of Hilary or Trump, but the country is going down

With the repeal of Obamacare not even getting past his own party, then it shows it's going to be a messy and bloody 4-8 years

Ok, I'll bite... who is the current POTUS?  Who is tweeting all hours of the night with unsubstantiated claims of wire tapping, rigged voting systems, etc etc? Who is failing to pass a bill as he cannot get even the support of his own party despite having majorities in all houses?  Who is it that currently wants to build a wall that will ultimately end up hitting his fellow countrymen in the hip pocket? Is it Obama?...NO!  Is it Clinton?...NO!  Is it Trump?...a resounding YES!

"The leftist crowd are a herd who think things are funny if it is about someone of the right but would find the same thing unfunny if it was one of their own. Humour should be judged on the content not the subject. This is interesting coming from someone who is a self declared rightist (although I would go further and say extreme rightist) who is upset over a humerous gif directed at one of his own.... pot,. kettle, black?  No one is stopping you, Wrecker45 (funny/ironic in itself considering how thin skinned you are), from posting your own funny gif directed at someone from the left... go ahead, knock yourself out... who knows, we on the left may even get a good laugh out of it.

You can look in the rear-view mirror all you want, but it will not change the fact that it is the current POTUS that is the focus of attention for both the right and the left and until he starts to apply some dignity to the office he has taken on, then he is going to be a target whether you like it or not (and again, he is the target of both the right and the left).  I have plenty of right leaning friends here in Australia and in the US who are finding many of the memes directed at Trump funny enough to share around.

Oh and if you genuinely think he will drain the swamp, you are living in a fool's paradise... he is just filling it up with more of the same... the only difference being that they are his mates.

He has already shown his colours where that is concerned with his attempted muslim immigration bans.  More than one of the handful of countries that he was not applying the ban to were tied in with his business interests, Saudi Arabia being the most significant... where did the terrorists that killed more Americans on American soil come from again?

Correct. The crazy man has selected his evil muslims carefully

Saudi Arabia should be top of the pile, but isn't.

Mate show me one joke you posted of Obama during his 8 years as POTUS and I'll apologise.

Otherwise own it.

So you tell me you are only posting jokes about Trump because he is the current POTUS and any others would be irrelevant, yet you have over 7,000 posts and can't point to one joke you posted about Obama when he was POTUS for 8 years? And I am am irrational for pointing that out?

Keep on trying.

Actually, yes, you are irrational for pointing that out.

The fact that I posted a joke relating to Trump doesn't have anything at all to do with whether I have posted any jokes about any other leader(s). I haven't posted one of Obama... but nor have I posted one relating to any or all of Bush, Turnbull, Abbott, Howard, Rudd, or any other leader... ok, well maybe I posted jokes relating to Hanson and Latham.

If you were to do some analysis of my posting statistics, I think you would find that relatively very very few of my 7,000+ posts have been made in the General Forum... this is a football discussion site after all.

The other thing that I find very funny and at the same time very telling regarding your rationality... in your first post following my posting of the joke that seems to have gotten you into such a tizz, you accused me of deflecting from the discussion you were having... go back and count how many posts you have made since in relation to this.  My simple posting of a joke obviously appealed to your obsessive/narcisistic nature and you have indeed managed to make the perceived deflection a reality.

lol ok Wrecker, here ya go, a Hillary funny for you:

Now that I have exactly 1 credit in the Wrecker bank, here's my Trump funny:

Holy [censored].

http://www.theage.com.au/world/extrump-nsa-michael-flynn-offers-to-testify-before-congress-in-exchange-for-immunity-20170331-gvaqem.html

Washington: Michael Flynn, Donald Trump's former national security adviser, has offered to be interviewed by House and Senate investigators who are examining the Trump campaign's ties to Russia in exchange for immunity from prosecution, according to his lawyer and a congressional official.

Apologies to Wrecker, I can't be bothered finding a Hillary one to even it out according to the proposed meme-banking system.

Choke - of course you can post a Clinton joke. Much funnier than hardtaks Trump joke  by the way. What you posted would be funny no matter Abbott, Howard, Trump etc... reading "sigh" off the autocue.

It is just sensible and reasonable to look at anything in life from the opposite perspective. You can do this. I can do this. Some people are just incapable.

Just as I start calling you a reasonable person...

The famous saying goes there are lies and statistics. The highlighting in red above is not even within the margin of lies and statistics. It is not even pretending to compare apples with apples.

It is embarrassing.

Meaning what? Looks like Donald is very high maintenance at this stage.

Trump can do no wrong in Wrecker's eyes, so the figures cited in the meme must be fabricated... however, the only thing I can see that is in any way misleading is the title, as this is not really about travel expenses... it is about the cost of security to the taxpayer every time Trump travels to Mara Lago.  For example, the visit with the Chinese President apparently set the taxpayer back over $3mil in security expenses plus additional costs (in the hundreds of thousands) to the local Palm Beach residents.

Trump can do and is doing plenty wrong in my eyes. He is a terrible person and his start to his presidency has been questionable.

I just like crtitism to be fair. The media is at war with him and that in itself is intriguing. He's not beholden to them and for the most part I can't tell what is fake news or real.

i didn't like the above meme perhaps I need to lighten up. When hardtack sends through a good one on the Clinton's or Obama perhaps I can have a good chuckle and stop being so grumpy.

This is my personal favourite. Insulting to both parties:

My favourite bit is the tiny hands though.

I'll pay you credit for that. Producing a meme (as continually challenged) on Obama that is actually hanging it on the right has snookered me.

Hey, it's all just good fun... life's too short (and getting shorter) to get hung up on a meme or three.

I'll buy in on the "humor". Trump is the most bizarre person ever to hold the high office of POTUS. He is a walking comedy routine. You can debate what Obama did and didn't do in office, you can debate the criminality of the Clintons but there is no doubting that Trump is comedy gold.

I agree Trump is legitimately comedy gold. The biggest joke is, however, the Democrats who couldn't beat him.

My point earlier in this thread though is that every centre right politician is the butt of jokes disproportionately. Often leftist sheep think the joke is funny just because it is about someone of the centre right. Trump jokes will always be funnier than Hillary, Obama jokes will never be as funny as... hang on there are no Obama jokes,George W Bush was hilarious when he mispronounced a word.

Let me give you a tip. The next Republican President will be comedy gold as well purely because there will be a left wing media trying desperately to pull him / her down.

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

And just like that, we’re Narrm again. Even though the annual AFL Sir Doug Nicholls Round which commemorates the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture to our game has been a welcome addition to our calendar for ten years, more lately it has been a portent of tough times ahead for we beleaguered Narrm supporters. Ever since the club broke through for its historic 2021 premiership, this has become a troubling time of the year for the club. For example, it all began when Melbourne rebranded itself as Narrm across the two rounds of the Sir Doug Nicholls Round to become the first club to adopt an Indigenous club name especially for the occasion. It won its first outing under the brand against lowly North Melbourne to go to 10 wins and no losses but not without a struggle or a major injury to  star winger Ed Langdon who broke his ribs and missed several weeks. In the following week, still as Narrm, the team’s 17 game winning streak came to an end at the hands of the Dockers. That came along with more injuries, a plague that remained with them for the remainder of the season until, beset by injuries, the Dees were eliminated from the finals in straight sets. It was even worse last year, when Narrm inexplicably lowered its colours in Perth to the Waalit Marawar Eagles. Oh, the shame of it all! At least this year, if there is a corner to turn around, it has to be in the direction of something better. To that end, I produced a special pre-game chant in the local Narrm language - “nam mi:wi winnamun katjil prolin ambi ngamar thamelin amb” which roughly translated is “every heart beats true for the red and the blue.” >y belief is that if all of the Narrm faithful recite it long enough, then it might prove to be the only way to beat the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Sunday. The Lions are coming off a disappointing draw at Marvel Stadium against a North Melbourne team that lacks the ability and know how to win games (except when playing Melbourne). Brisbane are, however, a different kettle of fish at home and have very few positional weaknesses. They are a midfield powerhouse, strong in defence and have plenty of forward options, particularly their small and medium sized players, to kick a winning score this week after the sting of last week’s below par performance.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

There was a time during the current Melbourne cycle that goes back to before the premiership when the club was the toughest to beat in the fourth quarter. The Demons were not only hard to beat at any time but it was virtually impossible to get the better them when scores were close at three quarter time. It was only three or four years ago but they were fit, strong and resilient in body and mind. Sadly, those days are over. This has been the case since the club fell off its pedestal about 12 months ago after it beat Geelong and then lost to Carlton. In both instances, Melbourne put together strong, stirring final quarters, one that resulted in victory, the other, in defeat. Since then, the drop off has been dramatic to the point where it can neither pull off victory in close matches, nor can it even go down in defeat  gallantly.

  • CASEY: Footscray

At twenty-four minutes into the third term of the game between the Casey Demons and Footscray VFL at Whitten Oval, the visitors were coasting. They were winning all over the ground, had the ascendancy in the ruck battles and held a 26 point lead on a day perfect for football. What could go wrong? Everything. The Bulldogs moved into overdrive in the last five minutes of the term and booted three straight goals to reduce the margin to a highly retrievable eight points at the last break. Bouyed by that effort, their confidence was on a high level during the interval and they ran all over the despondent Demons and kicked another five goals to lead by a comfortable margin of four goals deep into the final term before Paddy Cross kicked a couple of too late goals for a despondent Casey. A testament to their lack of pressure in the latter stages of the game was the fact that Footscray’s last ten scoring shots were nine goals and one rushed behind. Things might have been different for the Demons who went into the game after last week’s bye with 12 AFL listed players. Blake Howes was held over for the AFL game but two others, Jack Billings and Taj Woewodin (not officially listed as injured) were also missing and they could have been handy at the end. Another mystery of the current VFL system.
