Yes!

I had a very busy weekend (but not a fruitful one on the punt!) but will post up some replays soon enough

Haven't seen any of the Sydney or Melbourne races yet but there were some obvious highlights amongst the 5 x Group 1's that were held

Yeah I didn’t have a great one, wiped my face but lost a small amount on the AFL. Would have done quite well if Steele kicked the ball a second before the siren, not one second after ??

Replays from Golden Slipper Day

Woke up this morning and saw that Sportsbet had paid out on my multi. They have awarded 25disposals to Jack Steele! Great start to the day!

Value bet. Rosehill race 5, 10 prime candidate $8

Best Bet

Caulfield R2 No.4 Agreeable $3.30 (Win)

Terrific days racing coming up ... they've got a good track up in Sydney with lots of Group racing whilst the fields at Caulfield are quite strong

Don't mind 'Personal' in the Vinery and 'Angel of Truth' in the Tancred

Good luck punters

Hang Man wins again and beats a good field ... didn't have it included but it ran past a decent horse in Persan

The connections would now have to be eyeing off a few of the bigger races in the spring.  There might even be a race up in Sydney over the next few weeks that suits

And Hungry Heart won the Vinery in fine style.  Good horse to follow going forward

Sir Dragonet wins the Tancred!  Very impressive ... looked a class above over the 2400

I was torn between hangman and le don and went le don. Also did that on an earlier race that got up with diamond second.

Rodeo saluted on the last for me, cracking race to watch

I know it was only a BM64 or there about but with that turn of speed it will rise the ranks and do well, how high it goes, that’s the question. One to def watch for me.

Mask of Zorro ran another good race yesterday too.

Sydney showing a heavy 9 at the moment, but weather looks ok Fri and Sat so hope it firms up a fair bit.

Best Bet

Randwick R9 No.1 Mugatoo 4.60/1.80

Let’s see if Jamie can dominate Randwick

Race 10, #2 Macroura $6/2.25

In the 6th at Randwick Anamoe is fav, but lightsaber at $9.50 I believe is good value for a exacta/tri etc

Started the day of on fire, then went cold real quick. Both our choices didn’t salute but that’s racing. Hope you had a good day.

Similar story Gorg

Got Missile Mantra & Duais up early then went cold.  Got a couple of collects out of Ascot late but overall down a fraction

Will watch the replays soon enough but Anamoe must have been impressive in the Sires Produce

Nature Strip did his thing,  Explosive Jack might be a cups horse & Jamie Kah got the best out of Cascadian in the Doncaster by the sounds of it

Anamoe killed it. Cascadian looked very good too.

I was on the same two as you, also got Kiku and paulele early on.

I flirted between Nature strip and Biovac and went the latter... seems every time I’m on NS it loses and when I go against it it bloody wins. ?

Had a photo with Grand promenade which ran quite well. Just couldn’t get there.

I'm floating between exactas & win bets at the moment ... I do like the idea of having 2 or 3 runners as options for winning but just got to pick the right races

Anyway,  the Pies, Eagles & Tigers all losing softens the blow ... with punting it's always about the overall!!

Because of the above,  if we win today,  we create a buffer that we can maintain (at least in the first half of the season)  Must win!

1-39 Demons is my pick,  Freo the same?

Replays of the Group 1 races from the last 2 weekends

$1.80 fav this sat.

It’s listed for the Stradbroke handicap in Jun at $51 against a much better field. But I’m sorely tempted to take the gamble it runs and put $10 on it.

Best Bet Saturday

Randwick R5 No.3 Hungry Heart 5.50/1.80

That’s a good race.

Sydney is already a soft 5 with rain expected Friday and Saturday.
hope it doesn’t end up a heavy track. Hate betting on Heavy tracks.

Hungry Heart is a true stayer with a terrific finishing burst ... over the odds in my view

The others either may not get the distance or are unproven in Australia

Scroll up to the replay of the Vinery Stud Stakes and let me know what you think Gorg

I will be most surprised if it doesn't get into the finish although the horse does like good conditions and there is a bit of rain forecast

I've taken the early odds with some bonus bets

Agree, I watched that race live. Even copped the hit that pushed it wider at the 400.

I too took the odds lst night at 5.50

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
