Me too, unfortunately the only on I have left is our one with all too place. I stuffed up and did place on all instead of each way. But that’s ok, did another with all wins it age came second. Reckon a drier track and age beats it.

And Blazing Miss loomed large and then dropped away - couldn't get through the heavy ground (and it was a very heavy track at Randwick in the end)  You're in the lap of the gods once the conditions deteriorate like they did.

The ADATR place multi didn't quite work out but I got a few winners and the trifecta in the Cox Plate so a decent day

Yeah Blazing looked good but there was the part when it straightened and the mud flicking off was incredible.

Gratz on the trifecta! Had a winner and 4 bonus bets come my way, had yes baby yes and the fav in a trifecta but unfortunately the third horse didn’t go my way.

hoping for a better night on the GF.

I had a win bet on Armory but when the rain came Sir Dragonet came right into it because of its form on slow tracks.  I had it on top in the end so just needed the right combo with the others.  Arcadia Queen unlucky by all accounts ... nearly got knocked over early but still came 5th

Got the tri in the Manikato Stakes last night as well ... the speed maps gave Hey Doc an ideal run in the race and that's how it turned out

Got lucky but you need luck in this game Gorg.

Good luck with your multi's tonight ... I'm doing the form at Saint-Cloud (Fr) tonight!

Good choice. It’s $10 on Sportsbet so not sure where the $12 is but that’s even better value.

It’s a good field, hoping for a good Derby day. Hope the rain isn’t too heavy and the track stays a good.

$9.50 up to $12 booster odds with Ladbrokes Gorg

I'm always on the lookout for horses that run recent good times and 'Rock' falls into that category.

Should get into the finish as it is well weighted and has drawn nicely.  Might need a gap or 2 in the straight but Michael Poy is a good jockey.

$3.10 the place suits the multi punters as well

Yeah I always look at the place returns too. And they are good.

You've got to get in early to get the odds sometimes

I had 'Nimalee' (Rosehill R6 No.10) picked out for a win bet but it's gone from $12 (boosted) yesterday into $4.80 today!

And then I noticed that Gator had picked it out as well.  Ugh!

Agree but my prob is that if I go early I then change my mind 599 times

Good luck today for those having a flutter!

3 best bets for a place multi paying $25 (boosted)

The 3 win bets in a multi returns $550 (or extra with a boost)

That's a good start ... got Crosshaven up with double the winnings!

Effectively 8-1 with the early odds up on Wednesday ... gotta love that!

Place multi still alive ... didn't see the race but 2nd in that field is a grand effort

And now Johnny Get Angry wins the Derby ... trained by none other than Denis Pagan.  Can you believe it?

Can and was on it and also got the first 4 at 20% ?

Happy days.

Well done!

No such luck my way but I've had a decent day so far so can't complain

That extra 500m was the difference by the sounds of it and will they run it in the Cup?

Pagan can expect a number of offers from horse owners from here on in though,  all the same.  Picks up a cool $120k as the trainer of the horse.  Nice work if you can get it!

I was on it last start and it got a horrid start out of the stalls and made up massive ground to the point I reckon it places easily but tbh if it wasn’t for my mate banging on about it for weeks I wouldn’t have got on it.

Rock 3rd so we are still alive in the multi! @Macca

@JV7

I got the early double Gorg (place) ... odds were about 10-1 so definitely worth the gamble

North Afrika salutes and it's party time (with masks adorned of course!)

Collette wins the Golden Eagle!  I was on the wrong Godolphin runner (Flit)

@Macca

Surprise baby with Barrier 7 sits very well. Some of the others drew worse barriers.

After getting a nice return on Ashrun today I might put a few on that, but a Surprise baby is who I’m on.

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

  • PREGAME: Sydney

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
