So two guys at work both chose both horses you and @JV7 chose.

O did a multi with those two t9 win and Superman EW and got $50.40 but can win $504 if all win

Be nice if it all came together Gorg

At least we're all on some classy performers.  And all 3 have been well supported in the market

Your choice (I Am Superman) should get a nice run in the race (according to the Racenet speedmap)

Should latch onto the back of Buffalo River coming into the straight

All three are good chances, Superman is up against some good horses which is why I went EW instead of just a win, I think $9 is way too much for it tho.

Junipal and Buffallo are both good, and I understand them being fav two, but think the gap is closer.

Thing I like with it is it’s won both on soft and good tracks so being a late race if the track firms it shouldn’t matter as much as it does with some horses.

Well the ADATR crew are with 'I Am Superman in the Group 1 Toorak Hcp but here's a quick appraisal of the other 4 Group 1 races being run tomorrow

Star filly Montefilia might start the marginal favourite in the Spring Champion Stakes up at Randwick but 'Love Tap' & 'Cherry Tortoni' can provide some spirited opposition.  'Bucharest',  'Street Dancer' & 'Socrates' are 3 roughies who might get into the finish

Hard to not see 'Russian Camelot' winning the Caulfield Stakes but the horse is a bit of a rogue at the barriers so it's buyer beware.  Multi only @ $1.55 for the win.  Arcadia Queen just hasn't lived up to expectations this Spring but should get into the finish along with Humidor or Harbour Views

The Thousand Guineas looks a race in 2 between 'Hungry Heart' & 'Instant Celebrity' but this race can often throw up surprise winners ... Vangelic,  Thermosphere,  Odeum,  Personal,  Agreeable & Night Raid all have claims.  One for the exotics unless you prefer 1 of the top 2

And the Caulfield Guineas is a really good betting race.  Decent odds to be had if you can find the winner.  Exotics again possibly but King's Legacy,  Ole Kirk & Mo'unga all bring strong Sydney form.  Of the locals, Tagaloa heads the list with Crosshaven & Amish Boy providing some value

Got a strong tip for today...

Race 7 #4 @ Morphetville

Ran the fastest 1600m at Sale in the last 15 years... The time it ran would have had it almost winning the Golden Rose last weekend.

Got it going in a couple of small multi's

Dirty work saluted will a massive run. Thought it was maybe too late but just home!

Great result ... its turn of foot in the last 250m is very very good.  Might get an Everest run as I believe there's at least 1 slot still open

But the Queen salutes in the Caulfield Stakes!

Arcadia Queen is back and right back into Cox Plate calculations.  I was on Russian Camelot in a couple of multi's but kudos to the winner

Way too good and the 2000m distance was ideal by the sounds of it (only audio here)

Got on Odeum which was great, had the exacta in the first race, got three multis on the go, gotta hope I am Superman gets a placing.

Missed nearly the whole race and couldn’t listen and saw a horse red and yellow come from the middle to the front and got excited until I noticed the 5, not the 8 on the horse.
I used a bonus bet on it so that helps.

Got a few collects and I usually do well late in the day but not today.  Got a late winner at Doomben but down a little overall.  Still,  there's a few I like at Newmarket tonight ?

Well done on Odeum ... a much improved performer.  It was a day where the forgive-file horses prevailed ... Mr Quickie,  Chapada,  Arcadia Queen & Fiesta.  And I wasn't on any of them!  haha

Ole Kirk is a good horse ... very impressive. And Pikey rode 4 winners and a couple of placings.

Had three multis I had 2 legs and missed the third. But over all ended up all evens and now trying my luck on the filth/cats game.

Hope you got the other legs!

That thing in Morphetville absolutely romped it in, wrapt I got $2.50 when it jumped at $1.70!

er ... no JV

Russian Camelot put me out of my multi's (there's always one)

Small outlays though so no biggie.  3 from 4 or 2 from 3.  If the Russian salutes I would have cleaned right up

That's racing

Wasn't down by much though and the weekend's racing isn't done with yet

No Moreira at Sha Tin tomorrow so Zac can get amongst it.  He's on a number of favourites that can win

That’s the punt ay...

My mates brother works for an independent bookie as a data analyst & he tipped me off that winner at Morphetvville today...

Told me to multi it up with Ole Kirk but I got greedy & added Red chase in.. Spewing on that one

I made the mistake of including the Russian as the banker.  You live & learn.

I reckon Red Chase & Dirty Work both for the place were better bankers. They looked morals to get into the finish and both were paying $2 the place early doors

Add in Ole Kirk,  Montefilia,  Swats That,  Windstorm or Criaderas and it's collect City!  A lot of shorties saluted today.

What do they say ... "Find the winner and then back it for the place" (or multi them up for the place)

I did the same ?

Best Bet Saturday

Caulfield Race 5 No.3 Starelle

4.40/1.65

Damien Oliver should be able to find a nice run for the horse in the straight.  Especially with the gaps appearing over the mile and a quarter.

The place dividend adds nicely to a multi but it can definitely win if at its best

Best Bet Saturday

Randwick Race 5 #1 - Handle The Truth

$9 W/$2.60 P

Randwick race 7, number 5 Behemoth $9/3 EW

1.5kg lighter than the last race. If it gets a clear run down the last stretch it can power home.
I’m bullish on it EW and reckon it pushes for a win.

3 best bets in (so far) with all 3 choices capable of getting into the money.  Big big chances,  all of the choices

All 3 at the place paying 15-1 in a 3 leg multi whilst if all 3 salute you can get 400-1

That's got to be worth the price of a coffee for a wager

Going to have a couple of box trifectas in the Everest & Caulfield Cup

I really like Gorg's tip in the Everest (Behemoth) and there are a few other swoopers like Classique Legend & Libertini who could future.  And Gytrash has done nothing wrong.  Bivouac and Nature Strip are 2 others that can get into the finish.  But which Nature Strip will turn up?  It's a high class field and we might see another track record on a fast track

As for the Caulfield Cup,  there are any number of good chances.  I've got Verry Elleegant on top but Anthony Van Dyke looks the real danger.  Master of Wine?  Maybe.

Lightweight chances Dalasan & Toffee Tongue could swoop home whilst Finche & Buckhurst can't be ruled out.  There are a host of chances though.  Tough betting race but the exotic dividends should be very good

Yeah Nature Strip worries me, it will win or finish 6+
After last Run I’m worried about Master of Wine

bht yeah, lot of good horses running

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
