Was it Albie Mangles who used to do a similar show and every episode he seemed to have a different bikini clad backpacker along for the ride, pardon the pun ;) ?

haha, yes i see your logic. but my logic was to keep other players an equidistance from the centre bounce. a square makes no logical sense unless someone just thought it looked prettier on paper.
