question to demonland

My RSO oil thread has seemingly vanished, along with all posts & links

can someone from demonland management post on here, where it went, & why it isn't anymore?

I'd klike to understand why such an important thread that was ahead of Australian Statewide trials of Cannabis Oil-CBD's on serious diseases.

thanks for your attention dl.

Hmmm not sure dl

There is another medicinal cannabis thread back there but it's not the one you're referring to..

I'll see if I can get Nasher to investigate.

yes the original one I started as an Ark of information called RSO, a possible cancer cure has been deleted as far as I can see... I wonder if all including WJack were told of this?

or if someone in the dead of night took it on themselves to delete it?

Hmm, dunno. It doesn't appear in the usual list of "deleted" topics. There are two lists from which I can resurrect threads, depending on how it was deleted, and it isn't appearing in either.

nasher, how, & who, could delete that whole thread? without the demonland moderators knowing about it?

Not sure where to place this hope you can

I just read Staurday age where there's an article on AFL club sponsorship

The article is to highlight Hawthorn and Audi joining.

It mentions competitors Mercedes and BMW both of whom have no sponsor arrangement with AFL

I hope our marketing ?sponsorship people are all over this given our reputation as the wealthy blue blood elite.

I know this is not the truth but "Perception is Reality"

I have raised this previously including suggesting we leverage off our ski image and approach Subaru

I know they are more interested in cycling but crikey I ride a bike too and Im sure many of our members do to.

I have raised with officials at the very few redlegs functions I have attended in the last 3 years and also spoke to Robbo in Canberra about club officers looking at other sports marketing eg Emu ugg boots have a racing car (colours red and blue) as a promotional tool, Jayco are in everything except AFL. As horse racing is no longer covered on TV they may have an opening for some greater coverage.

Hopefully you have or know someone with some influence who may be able to pursue some of these ideas

seeing as ahg are our sponsor and they don't sell either merc or bmw it would be a conflict

otherwise either would seem a good fit and i'm sure bbo would approve

  • NON-MFC: Round 02

The compromised AFL fixture will get another test this week with the first lot of teams getting a bye after only two matches. Despite this Round 2 starts off with two cracking games as the Hawks host the Swans at the G on Thursday Night and then on Friday Night the Crows host the Bulldogs at Adelaide Oval. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Sunday’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.

  • THE STATS FILES: St. Kilda

As part of the effort to trim the runtime of the regular podcast, we’ve been looking at which segments could be reshaped without losing what makes them valuable. One segment that naturally came into focus was Binman’s Stats Files. Not because it isn’t important; quite the opposite. It’s become such a substantial and much-loved part of the show that it deserves a little room to breathe.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

One of the big stories of the AFL off-season was the spending spree of Melbourne’s Round 1 opponent, St Kilda. They splashed out heavily, first to retain Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera - the hero of last year’s epic come-from-behind miracle victory -turning him into a $2 million man. They then effectively took out an expensive overdraft to recruit a string of expensive players from other clubs. It was a risky investment strategy and, although it’s still early days, it certainly failed to pay off in Sunday’s season opener, with much of the glitter turning to fool’s gold.

  • POSTGAME: St. Kilda

Never in doubt!!! In Steven King’s first game at the helm of the Melbourne Football Club, the Dees outlasted Saints in a wild, momentum-swinging thriller at the MCG, running out 13-point winners.
