I'd beat Freo to the punch and convince Tanner to enter the nationl draft and take him at Pick 53.

He was pretty highly rated as a junior and was expected to go top 30, fell to pick 36. I reckon if we land Tanner Smith (anotehr player who can play either end and has a few years in the system) then our key positon stocks minus anotehr ruckman are well and truly cpmplete.

Time to pay Freo back for the Hannath scenario.

complete if we also bring in McCartin as a KPF (assuming he turns out to be a good player and not another Luke Molan/Lucas Cook dud)

My issue would be why are Freo demoting him?

2 years in the system, had a debut, decent draft picks. Sounds to me like all the injuries have them worried. And if it's got them worried it should have us worried.

Not sure about using a main list spot on him, but we could jump them with RD pick 2.

Is there an etiquette involved in all this?

Doubt there's any etiquette, we nabbed Riley in a similar situation.

As a senior list player. I'm not sure that's the same as nabbing a guy from a rookie spot a club has lined up for him.
