Jack Fitzpatrick 2014

Sorry Fitzpatrick, but I don't care if you are tall or short, but 4 disposals 2 marks 1 tackle....

Does anybody thinks that is good enough to warrant getting a game next week?

I know he is our only tall option but he might as we'll be a midget, because he doesn't use his height to advantage and has no idea how to play football and I will not watch the dees play anymore as long as he is playing.

Needs to be moved on.

Fitzy and Spencer are only in the side by default anyway

If (and it's a decent if) Jamar showed anything at all in the VFL today then I'd put him in for Fitzy. Jamar and Spencer not a great combo but at least they have rest and you can sub one off and get by with Pedersen in the last quarter.

I still think Fitzy can be an ok option. He's still young for KPP and is in a horrible side. He's never going to be a solid reliable type but a lot is going against him at the moment.

There was a mark, a lead and a couple of hitouts and chases today where I thought ok he's horrendous but he could be worse.

He was the worst player on the ground this week and last week also...

We should not accept his output from an AFL listed player. This is a player who through circumstance has been given the opportunity to grab an AFL forwards position by the scruff of the neck and say this is my dream and I will not let it go by at least tackling hard , chasing and showing some desperation.

6 Handballs , 2 kicks , 1 mark & 3 tackles in his last 2 games is the output we received ( That's an average midfielders 1/4 time stats)

Postman Pat has failed the litmus test and a delisting beckons.

I said it last year - he should have been shipped out to another club needing a KPF.

The bulldogs would have taken him for a 2nd rounder.

Will never make it beyond big ordinary, if he can make it that far.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
