We will improve next year but I'll have better chance winning the $20 million oz lotto jackpot than mfc finishing higher than the bottom 4.

We were so far off a win last year it wasn't funny.

I think 6 wins is what the club is capable of, which is a dramatic improvement from last year.

1. Fremantle - Gumby will be important if he can get some consistinsy in his body/game plus the addition of Sylvia

2. Hawthorn - Addition of McEvoy is a massive plus

3 Sydney - List is to good to be any lower

4. Richmond - good team should've been more active in trade period

5. North Melbourne - should improve if they can win close games

6. Collingwood - seriously good list, terrible coach

7. Essondon - Depends on how Asada rolls out

8. Port Adelaide - can't see them improving to much

9. Geelong - seriously aging list

10.Gold Coast - Could finish higher depending on devolpment

11.Carlton- rebuilding list

12.Western Bulldogs - brilliant young mids poor everywhere else

13.Adelaide - could be a lot higher just don't think they will be

14.Melbourne - new midfield + good forward & backline + Roos = big improvement

15.West Coast - can't see them getting higher after last year

16.Brisbane - only going to get worse

17.GWS - May show some improvement

18.St Kilda - in some serious trouble

Go Dees 2014 - can see the dees getting higher than 14th

1. Hawthorn-still too good and consistent

2. Fremantle- Another strong year, would like to see them go all the way

3. Collingwood- I hate it, but the pies will do well next year

4. Sydney- too many good players to miss the 4

5. Geelong- Start of their slow demise, young guns won't look as good with senior, mature bodies aging/de-listed.

6. Richmond- Another solid season, but can't see much more improvement

7. Gold Coast- Will surprise many again. Midfield headlined by Ablett, O'mera, Prestia, Benell and rising star Jack Martin (kids a freak) will be hard to stop

8. North Melbourne- Still don't rate them too highly, however a balanced list with no big holes will see them win enough games

9. Carlton- Will have a gun midfield, and no one to kick it to. Needs to fix defense and forward line to have a chance at the 8 which wont happen next year

10. Port Adelaide- Will have another strong season, but wont be quite as lucky. Wingard to become elite mid (if he isn't already)

11. Adelaide- Poor start with no forward line (tex coming back rd 7-8) will come home stong. Could sneak into finals

12. Essendon- Loss of players or not, still don't rate them highly, too many passengers and gumbleton/crameri to be big losses to the forward line (Daniher not ready yet)

13. West Coast- Will be very up and down, still lots of talent, but new untried coach will bring mixed results. will always win at least 7 games with Perth factor

14. Melbourne- Bit biased placing us over bulldogs (reckon it will come down to percentage). I just want us to be consistent and to beat one top 8 side and a percentage over 80%

15. Bulldogs- Exciting times ahead, with a great midfield. However hard to see where goals will come from (30 odd from Crameri won't be enough) and defence still has question marks

16. Brisbane- New coach, player exedous, and a pretty average list IMO will see them struggle

17. St Kilda- Will struggle all year, can't see them winning more than 3 games

18. GWS-One more year at the bottom before they start winning consistent games. 3 wins max

You better buy a ticket then! I am looking at vast improvement! Remember we have an experienced back and forward line. We just need someone to get it to the forwards. I believe we have addressed this both with the coach and our draftees. Clark will kick at least 50 goals if he stays fit, Hogan will get near the same. We are going to win a lot more games than people expect next year! We will be the big improver! I'm optomistic, yes, but confident!

Before you can work out where you will finish, you have to have a realistic look at the number of games you can and who you can win them against.

Should beat GWS twice

Should beat GC once

Should beat Saints twice

Should beat Brisbane once

Could beat Essendon, Bulldogs, West Coast and Adelaide once

Total Should and Would = 10 That's about it for mine and that's if all goes well.

Can't see us beating any of the other sides unless it is a down day for them and an up day for us.

Probably 8 games is semi realistic, but that may be optimistic.

for the second time this year I agree with you

most people have forgotten the list improvement this year

viney=miles in legs

toumpas=had hip operation and given quality rest at right times in fitness program

terlich=yes made mistakes but expect less goals aginst and less turnovers

rucks=slowly getting a group together with quality

mids=answered and improved

forwards=unknowns/dawes/Clark/Hogan/howe will learn to chase tackle and run back to cover space

watts=again? more 4 quarter intensity with new coach

fitness=levels have improved and another pre should do the job.

extras=cross and other recruits should push grimes/trengove out to better suited positions

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
