Trengove

Lenny Hayes and Joel Selwood aren't quick, but they can be explosive in short burts (one or two steps or with a handpass in close), Trengove doesn't have that.

He is getting better no doubt but everything he does (even the way he talks) is slow.

Agreed - he was outrun by Cox last week chasing a loose ball.

I think you would be very unwise to dismiss this bloke. But then I'm a crook judge. One of us will be right and happy to talk to you later Dr and will. Personally I love this kid.

Straight after the game, He was interviewed and said something along the lines of "They are all out to get us"

I really like this mentality. Us v them. Maybe it was a slip of how they are dealing with all the other external pressures.

Don't get me wrong I love the guy too and think he'll be a gun - he is playing better this year compared to last despite having limited to no preseason. His pace is a concern though I acknowledge this ccould be due to his lack of conditioning.

Loving his efforts lately.

For a bloke thats missed more than half the pre season, his two games have been true grit and full of merit.

Even the steely resolve he has been showing in the media lately has impressed me.

Definately growing into the captaincy, and you can see why his team mates admire him.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
