I get why Luna Park is a good choice because it gives the kids something to do and rides to go on but what happened to the good old days where we have it at the G. I know cricket co insides with it but also our family days used to be the week or 2 before the season.

Also now they only go for 2.5 hours.

Yeah, I also miss the good old days at the G. Haven't been to one at Luna Park yet. What's it like there?

I haven't been to the Luna Park Family Day before, but family that spent a day at Luna Park recently reported that they really enjoyed it and the kids thought it was fabulous and didn't want to leave.

Luna park is alright. My kids love it every year. It does get a bit boring for some adults when we are waiting the team presentation but all the players are easily accessible and are up for a chat.

I like Luna Park. My boys were barely engaged with AFL and the Dees prior to the start of 2012. Attending Luna Park had appeal on its own and thus became useful for keeping that level of interest flickering. Last year (2012), footy cards took off in school like wildfire and now my 8yo takes more interest in footy than even I do. What's more, he is an absolute, rusted on Demon despite being the only one at his school.

Correct me if I'm wrong but they haven't always charged $10 have they? Not that I mind but it's a steep jump from a gold coin donation.
