With half a season gone, what do you think the final 22 will end up looking like? Who can you see coming home with a wet sail, or maybe you sense a drop off in some other early favourites?

I suspect we may see up to 10 new faces this year.

Mine ...

B: M. Johnson (Freo) Glass (WC) Waters (WC)

HB: Deledio (Rich) Rance (Rich) Birchall (Haw)

C: Griffen (WB) Watson (Ess) S.Thompson (Adel)

HF: Dangerfield (Adel) Franklin (Haw) S.Johnson (Geel)

FF: Clark (Melb) Reiwoldt (Stk) Sidebottom (Coll)

Foll: Naitanui (WC) Pendlebury (Coll) Ablett (GC)

Int: Maric (Rich) Beams (Coll) Cotchin (Rich) JP Kennedy (Syd)

Coach: Worsfold

clark would be lucky to make it as well as naitanui but they are definately high chances apart from then it is very accurate

(also not sure if Birchall is in All Australian form...no Goddard?)

Birch has been very consistent and may be one of those first time-AA jumper players who gets in on the 'two good seasons' rule.

Goddard has dropped off a bit this year I reckon.

Your love for Nik Nat continues. Hope Clark gets some deserved recognition.

None of our players would make it at present.

NicNat would be nowhere near it either.

Goddard wouldn't make it either. He's a shadow of the player he was two years ago.

Maybe Lewis Jetta gets a run somewhere? He has been superb this year IMO

B: Josh Gibson - Heath Grundy - Ryan Crowley

HB: Greg Broughton - Luke McPharlin - Bob Murphy

C: Brett Deledio - Jobe Watson - Scott Selwood

HF: Steele Sidebottom - Nick Riewoldt - Patrick Dangerfield

F: Jack Darling - Lance Franklin - Lewis Jetta

R: Ivan Maric - Scott Pendlebury - Gary Ablett

I: Jonathan Giles - Trent Cotchin - Kieren Jack - Dane Swan

Excellent effort although I'd drop Maric, have Naitanui on the bench and Cox starting ruck. Murphy would of been a shoe in early too but unfortunately got injured. Unfortunately because I had $100 on him at $26 for the brownlow! Damnit!

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
