Well glad to know I shelled out for Training Cones & Col Sylvia vs Collingwood today.

Ah yes but add in Jamar, Davey, Garland etc and that average gets cut. And I think in 2 years time we will have bigger bodies to compete at that level for the whole game. And in two years I expect we will be around the top 4.

You are dreaming.

For Collingwood add in Jolly (200+ games), Swan (150games) and Thomas (100 games) and drop Wood, Buckley and BLair and you might start to get the drift....

The Umpires didn't help...at least 6 charities went to collingwood, but they did play in front.

The umpiring was shameful but it wouldn't have made a lick of difference to the outcome.

Its embarrassing when supporters try to nitpick the umpires when the real problems were starkly elsewhere.

There is nothing anyone can say to comment on this game

I think the Topic and the Description say it all

We need Men we have boys

One Day that will Change, Hopefully !

Sad but true DS

When I looked at the team on thursday night I thought we imagined that this team that beat Essendon could match the Pies.

We had 5 players from my count with less than 4 games.

The backline looked too light to take on the big guys at the pies.

Why no Warnock? He is a solid tough defender, I find it hard to believe he would not have done better on Cloke.

All our forwards are lead up types Not one "cloke" in sight.

The Pies are just a magnificently drilled TEAM that want to work for each other and do gut-wrenching running. As someone said before, they looked just as chirpy at the 29min mark of the last quarter as they did at the first bounce. I suppose it helps when you're up by nearly 15 goals.....

Serious question.

Does anyone know if My Friend the Chocolate Cake recorded their version of It's a Grand Old Flag?

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
