just saw some twitter pics on melbournefc with the people and kids of Yuendumu joining the players and staff in the changerooms after the game. they are getting photos taken not other then the one jim stynes! :) they must be getting a real thrill not only to mingle with there hometown hero liam jurrah but be amongst an AFL enviroment!

Well done to the melbourne football club in organising them to make the trek down :) its stuff like this that makes me proud to be a demon supporter!

Sit back coz we are in for one hell of a journey :D

Yeeeeahhh boy. The club has come so far in three years. It's all feel good in red and blue!

Excellent. Very proud of the clubs commitment to the community. Can't wait to see hundreds of young blokes running around in the bush with 24 on their backs.

You mean pink and blue.

Sounds like they were wonderful scenes in the rooms but acc to Saturday's Age a lot of the Yuendumu community were displaced by civil disturbance (read a riot)last year and are still around Adelaide waiting to go home. So we can't be sure how much the club had to do with it _ i'd like to think something but all those kids with their faces painted red and blue is a great sight.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
