I reckon he starts as a WR with some small goes at CB.

It might work under Tomlin at the Steelers ... but it's a big if. The outcome may end up being more on the average/ordinary side of things

But the Steelers made the playoffs last season so that would be the minimum standard you'd imagine

I have no idea how this one will turn out, Gorg's post sums it up beautifully at first glance.

But one thing I think works in his favour is that the Steelers do play a fast style offense and use no huddles quite a bit. Could be a fun watch.

The other thing with Aaron is that while he obviously doesn't move the way he used to, he still throws the ball really well. I saw a short clip of their minicamp and he's still zipping 30 yarders in at speed. If he's got enough decent route runners around him (Metcalf, Austin and Washington nothing to sneeze at) then he might not even need to be the best version for it to work.

I can see it being like the Favre season in Minnesota, but it could also be a blip on the screen.

So Friday 1st of August (10am) sees the pre-season off and running with the Hall-of-Fame match (Chargers @ Lions)

I cant wait to get back into the NFL, it cannot come quick enough!

Big watch, but from what ive watched so far its been good with Mina Kimes and Jordan Rodriguez.

All about the NFC West. Seems Mina has/is doing one for each division.

'Holding out' has been a term used forever and a day in the NFL at this time of year. A player basically doesn't take part in training camp or games until they've worked out a new contract or they get the franchise tag eg. Micah Parsons

However I'm now starting to hear the term 'holding in' a lot lately. Can anyone fill me in on the meaning of this one? @Gorgoroth @Macca ?

I'm guessing it means doing training camp but being unofficially disgruntled about their contract situation?

According to Google holding-in means attending practice but only training on the side or with injured players ... apparently it's done this way to avoid fines (?)

Obviously with the contracts at play in the background

Btw, the Bears beat the Bills 38 - 0 (!!) but Josh Allen and the other Bills starters didn't participate in the pre-season game

Yeah a hold in is showing up but doing sod all and not with the main squad.

And yep, they do it to avoid fines as Macca said.

So when Nick Bosa was at training camp lifting dumbells on the sidelines in front of the girls he was holding in!

Jauan Jennings strikes me as a very unselfish player but I think it has been to his detriment. Clearly wanted and deserved a new contract but didn't make a fuss. No hold out or hold in and now it's stuffed him up.

Yeah I hate all the players reducing to play on $20mil cos someone just got $22m a year.

They care more for personal money than success.
