Much cheaper and I heard that Rodgers last 9 games or so were rated up there with the best in the league.

We have also hired his old QB coach as ours has been promoted to another team iirc and I honestly think he could easily lay out playbook after being in Green bay.
Rodgers has praised McVay multiple times over the years too.

Yeah look it might be a good fit.

It just seems like a lot of front office work haha.

I mean tbh it seems like a faeces fest.
They also said yesterday that they could roll with Jimmy G if Stafford left.

Yeah, right.. and Grizzly Adams had a beard!

Reports out of the US is that Stafford has re-signed with the Rams, less than what the raiders and giants were offering.

Said contract details won’t be released for a few weeks.

The first 2025 off-season NFL trade: San Francisco has agreed to send standout wide receiver Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders in exchange for a fifth-round pick, sources tell ESPN.

Like any trade agreed to now, it cannot be processed until the new league year begins Wednesday, March 12.

Man I would have thought Deebo would have gone for a 2nd at minimum.

Aaron Rodgers linked with the Giants

I reckon he will retire.

Not if he is given $$$$$Millions to play

I always follow the money, Gorg, as that normally will give you the answer

True, but iirc the Jets will be paying him a big chunk to cut him.

Oh, ok.  Take the money and retire!

He's had a great career and was formerly box office.  4 MVP's is phenomenal

If he'd had a decent coach then more SB appearances would have followed.  Still, 1 is better than none haha

Gee the footy is full-on considering it's just a praccy match

Tbh I think if the Jets didn’t cut him, he would stay and play, but they are going to so maybe it kills his desire to go through a whole new move, new playbook etc

One of the reasons we got Stafford back cheaper.

I did too and I think it says a lot. Either they weren't happy with the shape he was in last season or really wanted him out of there. Or both, or something else.

Love the guy but I do think a departure was necessary. Along with his fluctuating fitness, we were force feeding him the ball this season the production wasn't there. Maybe a change is what he needs.

If I'm the Giants, I'd at least ask the question. They'll be trying to get the no.1 pick from the Titans and if they get it and draft a Cam Ward or whoever, they might want veteran QB for a year or two to mentor and usher them in.

After swinging for the fences with Stafford, I reckon they could have a good pitch to Rodgers. If he still wants to play they're in a position to offer something decent to move across the street.

But there's more..

The Jets are reportedly shopping Devante Adams around and look desperate to get out from under that massive contract they took on from world champion bad deal makers the Raiders. They could bring him over as well to sweeten the deal for Aaron.

It might still be a long shot but I'd entertain it over the usual suspects like Cousins, Darnold, Russell Wilson etc.

Rumour was if Rodgers came to LA that Adams pretty much would too.

Yep.

The option is there if a team has the cap room and wants to entice him to go round again. He's probably gonna want a decent weapon or two.

niners could take a cap hit of $31m for Deebo... ouch

Dead money is nothing new for us. Did it with Dee Ford and still paying Armstad, not saying it's good but we tend to cut losses a lot.

Highlights what I said yesterday, he may have wanted out but the team must have really wanted it as well.

Zack Baun re-signs with the Eagles for 3 years. If other D-liners Sweat and Williams get tied up then the Eagles should be thereabouts for the foreseeable future.

Max Crosby now highest paid non QB in the league.

Seahawks also release Tyler Lockett, WR FA class this off season is crazy.

Yeah good day for tying D-lineman down.

Almost the same as Deebo wanting to salary dump but also taking on some dead money. Wonder if the Raiders go for him?

NFL Live said with Pete now at the raiders that Locket is a good chance to end up there.

I would say so, Pete loved him.

Man I hate Pete. He has such a punchable face :P

Me too, he's probably a good bloke but he grinds my gears.

Not even having a soft spot for the Trojans can make me like him.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
