Belichick to Dallas? Possible or stupid?

Personally I can't see Bill going anywhere where he can't be GM or at least have a big say in drafting. Jog on.

Actually, you never know

It's the country of 2nd chances not like it is here where if you get cut, that's normally curtains

Belichick hasn't lost it as a head coach.  He just ran out of talent, post Brady.  Jerry Jones might just make that phone call

Bill would know how to manage Prescott for starters

I was always a supporter of McCarthy but his post-season record is below average (apart from the SB win which I thank him for)

Excellent game from Love (albeit without too much pressure from the cowboys D). Looks like Packers have found a real talent to replace Rodgers @Macca. Reckon you guys are closer to an SB than Dallas.

Yeah I was mightily impressed but the next assignment is harder.  Hopefully for GB, the 49ers come out a bit rusty (Purdy won't have played for 3 weeks)

Pound for pound we're up against it but we're in with a shot

Nothing went right for Dallas today whilst everything went right for the Packers

Love was very good but in many ways, our running game is more important as it makes us multi-dimensional.  And Jones was superb

Oh I think Bill can definitely offer more, just wondering if Dallas is the best fit. For Dallas it is exactly what they need, a big fish. Someone who everyone in that city can get behind and install belief in a vision. However Jerry and Steven would really have to let him do his thing. He can't be overruling on drafting decisions or saying he doesn't like a certain player because they aren't showtime enough or give ridiculous contracts to free agents because unlike others Bill just won't take any junk from him.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing Bill end up at the Chargers and seeing what he can do with Herbert. With so many jobs on offer I'm definitely expecting him in one of them.

You're right, Dallas is a long shot but Bill will end up somewhere

I see Pete Carroll is now in an advisory role but I can't see Belichick taking up that sort of position just yet

A bit like Brady, he's got 2 or 3 years left but maybe with a club that contend straight away.  But in the NFL, teams can rise from nowhere so maybe the Chargers, as you suggested

Yeah there's plenty of decent jobs available this year, Carolina or Washington could be tempting or maybe even Vegas to reunite with Jimmy G again? Fun to spitball.

He's definitely going to want big control over a salary cap. I can't remember one big time contract given to a player in New England. Even Brady only ever took 'team friendly' contracts. Everything was done looking through the windshield.

Bob Kraft is really a one of kind owner  and its safe to say Bill isnt going to find that again.

Ah yes Packers vs 49ers @Maccajust for something different! If Dallas and GB is the most played playoff game in history then this one surely isn't far behind, in the last 30 years at least.

I've been fairly confident going into the playoffs despite form but anytime I see the Packers as a playoff matchup I do take it seriously, moreso than if it were someone like the Vikings or Cardinals etc (Made sure not to choose anyone's team here) but I will say I'm a bit nervy now.

This Packers side is in good form and just dismantled a team who was 8-0 at home this season. Jordon Love has been incredible with some of the throws he's made under pressure and he's impressed me as much if not more than Brock Purdy. They are also running the ball very well, we saw Aaron Jones run like there was another Optus outage and he had to hand deliver everyone's text messages.

As you mentioned Purdy won't have thrown a football on 3 weeks but Deebo, CMC, Trent Williams and a few others are also in the same boat. We can only hope they will all be raring to go. Our defense is widely considered to be strong but teams have managed to move the ball on us with running at times. We will also be without DE rotation Clelin Ferrell who I find really good at setting the edge on defensive run plays.

Its going to be a true NFL playoff game and the Pack are in with an outside shot. It's a free hit for them so they will give it everything.

Importantly, we want this to be the Saturday (Sunday our time) game. Nothing would irritate me more than knowing I took today off when we had the bye and then missing it next Mon. May the best team win!

Well at least Colin Kapaernick isn't suiting up to haunt the Packers defence!  I still have nightmares about him.  For a 3 year stint there, he really was a great player.  Often against the Packers

But as you said, it's another free hit for the Packers and as foretold, interceptions, fumbles and punt or kick returns can turn a game on it's head

A lot will have to go right, but you just never know in this sport and even Dallas were an outside shot today if they had have gotten within I score.  A freakish catch, a recovered onside kick and away you go

Packers played the percentages in the end but I wanted us to throw the ball once or twice in those last couple of possessions (as the backfield was open)

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
