Eagles held them out well after giving up another 5 yard penalty (12 men on the field) 3 points to the Pats

Great run by Blount followed by a great throw by Foles and a great catch by Jeffrey ... everything is great except the point after!

Another good hold-out by the Eagles and then the Pats muck up a chip-shot.  A poor & costly error by New England.

Brady drops a sitter - can throw, can't catch

Should have been pass interference to Gronk ... a poor non call.

Great double-play by the Eagles - first the Foles throw to Jeffrey and then Blount runs it in really well from 20+

Eagles go for 2 and don't get it

Eagles 15  Pats 3.

It is the Pats so the officials don't see it.

Philly in again. TV on at work but trying not to watch. Wait for the flags to fly now the Pats are 2 scores down.

You got it the wrong way round Clint ... Gronk was interfered with (obviously)

Commentators are clueless

Just calling it as I see it - unbiased as always

I read it as OPI against Gronk. He does push off a lot that's not called, but he does have them hanging off like bananas regularly.

And there it is ... the fluke turnover after the Eagles looked set to score again.

Amazing luck the Pats get.  Lucky it's deep in the Pats backfield but they usually score from turnovers

Ha ha!  We see it differently - that's ok.

And they duly do score from a turnover ... incredible.

Eagles could have increased their lead from 15 - 6 but instead of that the score is now Eagles 15  Pats 12

Fantastic run by Clement ... Eagles need to get a TD here.

Eagles going for it?

I don't know what to say. The balls on this guy. Calling that play on 4th down. Doug "not coach of the year" Petersen.

Did it easy too ... it was like a walk in the park.  Eagles should be a further in front and with the current scoreline it's anyone's game.

By and large the game has been officiated well too so neither team has been disadvantaged.  In fact,  as a neutral it's been a very entertaining game.

Both teams playing contained footy. Running the ball a lot. The shootout I saw coming has eventuated more or less. Can't really complain too much. One Pats TD came from a penalty and a freaky pick.

Yeah there's been a lot of offense ... now it's down to the Eagles D.

If you hold them down to 22 - 26 points you should win.  And if the Eagles can score 2 TD'S then it's hard to see the Pats scoring 4 TD's to win.

Pats you mean. Yeah.

Falcons though. That's all anyone's thinking.

Well,  I'm not thinking of the Atlanta game.

In practical terms we have to expect the Pats to score at least 2 TD's ... because that's what they do.  As a matter of course.

So the Eagles have to score at least 1 TD .... 2 TD's should do it though.  And if the Eagles D can hold the Pats out it's game over anyway.

The Yanks always know how to put on a show.

Justin Timberlake is supreme as always.

That didn't take long ... Brady to Gronk a few times and then the resultant TD.  We've seen that before.

Eagles 22  Pats 19

As an Eagles fan you take that but we've seen that play called back all season.  It looks the officials are letting the players decide things.

And that's not a bad thing.  Often happens in SB's - Ravens/49ers SB a case in point.

Eagles 29  Pats 19

some useless info for you guys as you watch the match...

From the Guardian live report:

It might surprise you to learn that going to the Superbowl is incredibly expensive. Tickets aside, once at the stadium a bottle of water costs $6 and a slice of pizza with a soda is $21. ESPN sent their writers into the bowels of the US Bank Stadium to check out the prices. Here are their findings results.

Personal favorite: the Justin Timberlake inspired J-Tea cocktail. $35.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
