Rollo, I've got another 3 starters for you, Wise Guy Sam, Omit & Capt Concussion, the latter two will confirn their availability as soon as they can... Big Footy guys are looking forward to representing the Red & Blue...

Which ground is the venue???

hey, DR...

it's Victoria Park, where the pies used to play (probably when I was your age)...

the generations are interesting...

whispering jack was apologising to our young players last game day that some of them would have to don the hated black and white jumper to even up the teams...

guys just shrugged and did it...

WJ and I are here to tell you that the dees were the dominant team in 1958, ready to equal the collingwood record of 4 premierships in a row...

we kicked poorly for goal in the grand final (reminds me of our last forum game against the blues) and got beaten by an inferior team...

collingwood will always be "the filth" to us...

Posted (edited)

If anybody has got a camera we can use for this can you please let me know?

Suffice to say that while our players will be called by their chosen names, opposition players will be assigned names of random players from their respective teams.

Mate I'll have to find the australian charger as I bought the Camera in Europe, but I'll bring it down. As it records to hard drive, I'll also bring the laptop so we can save the footage during the break and get the whole game on camera....

With any luck we'll have a media whiz out in demonland who can put it into a highlight package

I do remember going to Vic Park in the old days, but wasn't fortunate enough to around when thosr flags were won... Started going to games in 65, how kucky was I????..

Just ask the guys who played deep in the forward line in the last match & you will hear that the filth is alive & well, unfortunately... A side issue, maybe someone who is still playing, could borrow a can of the miracle spray & elastised bandages, just in case....

I hope the big guy with all the tatts from the filth is playing again at full forward!

He was looking to punch on with everyone, particularly his own team mates for not delivering the ball to him on a plate!

Classic filth!

Im all good again, if we need more players (which we never really do) have a few friends who would probably be more than keen.

Shame wona can't play, was the game breaker int he last 10 mninutes against Carltank last time

Wild. I hope the Pies line up with the same forward line. Deserves to be kept for posterity.

Now to find a way to break into the old broadcast tower at Vic Park! (i.e - Just opening the door and kicking out the dero who lives there)

"if we need more players..."

it's always a tough call, mate...

the only game we ever lost saw us starting with 14 players, after we had a heap of no-shows...

last time, we simply had too many, the interchange bench was a nightmare for the coaches and some guys just didn't get much game time...

but I can be bribed and threatened, and one of the very late people last time was a ruckman !!

"happy new year from nicks forum"...

hey, guys, the sort of disparaging posts you have been putting on here about the pies, are being reported word for word on the pies' site...

I don't want that sleeping giant to wake...

I will be happy with the 4 points...

I'm listed as an apology, however, I'm not sure why.

I should be available to play.

Will confirm closer to the date however.

Hi all

think I might be field umpiring a praccy match that day so not sure if I can commit to helping out. But can ask at ump training if you like. I know the guys who helped out umpiring at the last few goschs paddock games - one was an a grade umpire but I haven't seen him at training yet. The other guy Ken has been there though.

Cheers jo

Pretty sure Vic Park is booked for a TAC Cup practice match that day. So unless you are playing afterwards I doubt you'll be able to use that ground.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
