WELCOME TO THE DEES JACK FITZPATRICK

Yeah i no.

Just saying how things can really change over a year of football.

Or how ridiculously wide of the mark some self-proclaimed 'experts' can be.

anyone know how far he CAN kick.,,,...bizarre kicking action  has he got hamstring problems ?

good mark though. Someone the FD will obviously take their time with

Apparently he doesn't really have a set kicking action (he varies between a few techniques) but they will be working to help him generate a kicking style that can be ingrained in his motor skills (or something like that).

Yes, & also a odd running action thats not too efficient.

Apparently the club is working specifically on his running action. Following this IMO, that would be a good time to change his kicking action, after smoothing out his stride & running. It makes sense to me to fix the leg (running) coordination first then the kicking.

I've bagged Fitzpatrick for months leading up to the draft, hoping not to use a first Rnd pick on him, but must say I am very happy to pick him up @ pick 50.

I was quite impressed with his showing during the 2008 champs games.

Yes. I've also heard that he can't wait to get to work on his kicking technique at the club. In his journey, he has had many coaches who have offered different advice regarding his kicking technique. It has often confused him at times. So, he looks forward to receiving advice from those at Melbourne and he can concentrate on that alone.

That is bizarre, but it is heartening to hear how keen he is to work on it.

I actually love the attitude of young Beaker Fitzpatrick and I think it'll hold him in good stead.
