Collingwood get own ground to train on

Featured Replies

We haven't been screwed. We were always training on our own oval (which is currently being developed) next to the rectangular stadium.

We were never sharing with the Pies.

And for 2 years they have to continue to walk past our new Footy Department Offices, with our new state of the art gym/facilities, then keep walking past our oval which is right next to our new rooms and then they get to there oval and guess what when they finish training they will have to walk past our oval, then past our new Footy Department home back to there centre with noname, I hope it rains a lot next year.

OK after that they have to only walk as far as we do but enjoy the next 2 years.

How big is our oval? Same dimensions as the 'G?

I like the idea of training near the Filth. We will hate each other even more, Good for the Comp.

I doubt Richmond hate Collingwood any more because they train close to them..oops, now I've done it.

They can train on the G itself for all I care. They're still crap and won't be winning a flag any time soon. A new ground to train on won't help to sort out the mess at Collingwood. If it weren't for their mass of feral fans they'd be headed for the scrap head in a few years time.

I believe ours will be the same dimensions as the 'G.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
