Happened to be driving past Vic Park this afternoon so thought I'd check out the condition of the playing surface. It's in pretty good nick, there's been some work done to the centre square so it is sandy around the middle, but other than that looking pretty good.

Took a couple of iphone shots, and yes, I do have too much time on my hands.

saints and blues are struggling for numbers...

I have offerred my services, but they don't pay as much as you guys...

we have agreed on a rule that sides can only borrow players from the opposition they are playing at the time, which seems sensible so results are not distorted...

the collingwood guys seem to be (I hate to say it) a likeable group of people, but they are something of a rabble and I cannot believe they will be able to field a team this time that can beat us, but beware of the sleeping giant (we have 5 pages of posts on this thread and they are at 19 or 20)...

I confidently predict that we will win the final...

WJ and son's only problem will be to give our players fair game time...

people should think about volunteering to play for the opposition (if needed to make up their numbers), it will be a fine gesture and will get you noticed for next time by the selectors...

I would like to think that the other sites will remember us for loaning guys that can play and not some of our valued (but marginal) performers...

Rollo - just make sure you call for a head count at the start of the game against the Pies!

I have a North Melbourne mate who is desperate to take part...He has nominated the Dees as his club of choice but will go around with any of the other sides if they need numbers.
