Clint Bartram may have left the building

Featured Replies

Not so sure it is rubbish, [censored]. By 2012 we should have found 22 players who are better than Bartram. If we haven't, then we won't be very good, because Bartram isn't very good.

Hoopla is right.

The comment is writing off a player completely. Could it be possible that bartram improves and fills a spot the club requires. I know what he was saying, it just dosen't sit well with me.

What if we had quite a few injuries and he had to play!

Ha ha, yeah

Take that

Had a morning suprise!

Went for my morning run on the tan and was excited to see a group of about 10 Melbourne players training hard, hill runs, cone drills excetera.

Among the players were LJ, Miller, Meesen, Jamar, Wona, Cheaney, Bates and Bartam. The forwards group it would seem.

Had a quick chat to LJ who was sitting out a drill (though 100% fit). I shook his hand....... his hand was massive! He was happy to have a quick chat and said we was looking forward to the season.

Anyway I guess this means Bartam is still in the building.

Thanks GNF for sharing your excitment. I'm delighted to learn that Wona and Meese were part of the group.

Meaningless.

He's just continuing to train with the team until a firm decision is made on his future.

He'd be unwise to sit out and end his chances of staying at MFC.

Did you notice Valenti training earlier this month before his delisitng?

If anything it may suggest his future hinges on the recruitment of Luke Ball.

yes, it would also be in his intrest to keep training so as to keep his fitness up if he is to change clubs.

Not sure how training in the park has anything to do with luke ball?

Well I still think he'd be the first to get delisted of any players on our list that are out of contract.

No signing of a contract has been announced, so I assume there is none.

And I suspect we may only delist a further player if Luke Ball comes to us in the PSD.

I don't think it was the forwards group.

LJ, Miller, Wona and Bate? Sure.

Meesen, Jamar, Cheney and Bartram? No.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
