Hey all!

According to the news last night, Allen Jakovich will line up in the second Chris Mainwaring tribute match and play on his Brother :) .

WA only with no television I imagine. Thinking of going except the rest will be all old shockers and weagles who I despise!

Heard this on 7 News in WA last night, had to rewind and check I heard correctly.

Where has Jako been all this time? And I wonder what shape he is in?

The other plus was they showed Smithy's mark of the year in Brisbane.

My little bloke loved it!

Chris Lewis bashing everyone up probably

I heard Jako was doing boat tours off Rottnest Island?

he's back in Perth?

last I heard he was running a fishing charter up north on the east coast somewhere? the cold weather isn't good for his unfortunately fragile body...

+Sean Charles

Yes you are so right-sean charles was a ripper in '94. Hurt his wrist badly if i remember, cut his career way short.

There should be some highlights of this game up on Youtube after its played. Youd think so at least.

What do you all reckon the over/under is on Jako's weight these days? AFL Tables has his playing weight at 98kgs. Could be anything these days.

Will be good fun to see him playing again.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
