Bail groggy, not entirely with it. Off again.

Reports that Bail has a thigh injury

geez that is one hell of a thigh injury if it is making him groggy, and likewise one hell of a concussion if it is affecting his thigh!

unlucky for the kid. lets hope he can still play the remaining games this year

lets hope we are with them all day but just not good enough in the end.

11 points down again after a goal to goldstein

I can only go by the stats, but Valenti seems to be getting his fair share of the ball. How is he going?

Sharing the clearances with Beamer..... Doing quite well CB....

Trying to make the most of his opportunities I guess.....

Finally the midfielders pick the leading forward.... Bate kicks low to Miller.... Nice mark on the lead....

Just scrapes in for a behind.... OMG he is frustrating.... Looks so good before he actually has to kick the pill

Well.....

Not the prettiest of matches I have seen....

Roos up by 4 points in front about 400 people....

Some good things from the 1st qtr....

Tom McNamara seems to be pretty switched on.... Good at ground level and reads the play really well (we have been hearing this) and his disposal is polished....

Valenti is making the most of his opportunities... 9 disposals, 4 tackles and 2 Frees for.... A quality quarter

Lynden Dunn is having a good game so far as well.... Running well, breaking the lines and delivering well by foot...

On a sour note... Rohan Bail is done for the day with a leg injury?? He is on ice....

Melbourne is leading the inside 50's 18 - 9 but are just bombing it in most of the time to a forward line which doesn't look like taking too many contested grabs....

About to start the 2nd term

Yeah yeah, calm down KJ, you made your point.

Besides, it's all part of the plan. Better than having him threaten to win it for us.

I don't mean to keep going on about the bloke, but he just stands out.... And it isn't for good reasons.... I will try not to mention him again today... Unless he does something good...

I say this every week... Worst game I've ever seen.

They are all bad, both teams. Newton is the worst.

Haha agreed! I can't see Newton playing in our full strength side next year at all :).

we need more newtons out there, were gona win this game.

There is not a hope in hell we will win this match....

If we do, then Darren Crocker will line all his blokes up and stab them in the face with a knitting needle one by one....

North cannot possibly lose this match the way Melbourne are delivering it into their F50

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
