Queens Birthday Game Day

Did I miss it?

Bloody joke that Sydney thing, saying they can't be allowed to bottom out. Hate the show though, arguments for the sake of arguments generally.

Coming up now

GO CARO!

Love her!!

He's a fair useless human isn't he.

Hate the way they belittle Caro, constantly attacking her (Lyon abusing her saying that teams that are due for a down time should have to "deal with it" when she wasn't even arguing it) and laughing pretty much every time she speaks.

"Good call/Bad call" thing they do.

"Does Melbourne deserve to lose Queen's Birthday?" was asked to Caro. She said BAD CALL! and went on to say that it was a discriminatory questions and that no one thinks Essendon should lose ANZAC day after being belted last year - and also said that we usually win ANZAC (sic) day anyway.

I'm going to by a tatts ticket coz it must be a special week. It's the first time I've ever agreed with Caro.

I quite like Good Call/Bad Call.

And she's absolutely right. Provided we keep drawing crowds (and the general consensus is that the 60,000 odd that we got last week was a good crowd) to this fixture it should remain regardless of the result on the day. Otherwise Collingwood should have been shunted from it after we beat them 4 times in a row.

"Good call" titan!!

I think they pressure her so because she can never ever admit she makes mistakes, even when they seemingly provide facts to contradict either her srticls or comments on the show. Not having all of the facts myself I can't judge but that is one thing I see of her on the show and find it and interesting by play.

But the nude nugget is just a slimey sad little man who likes to barge over people he sees as weaker than him but then gets frightened by sitting next to Sam Newman of all people.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
