4pm Light Tower 2

Yeah Sarah is a mate of mine from college. She just started by sending an email round and then things started gathering momentum to the stage now where I think now there is like A LOT of people getting involved and I think (don't quote me) the club has organised free entry for everyone. She was able to organise the publicity with the Age too which is a credit to her.

I'd courage everyone to come along!

See you there.

haha

hey mate, whats with the sig?

25 great years... 2003???

1987 was a great year. Remember the last home-and-away round against the bulldogs? Then waiting for the result from Geelong. Then carving up North Melb and the Swans at the 'G in successive finals? OK Waverley Park broke our hearts, but there was Robbie and Ricky and Alan Johnson and of course Rod Grinter.

wow, great, but how irrelevant

Hiya heartbeatstrue

I remember it well too, was a great feeling after watching years of being happy if we lost but put in a good showing. The sound that went around the western oval in '87 was electric, standing in line for ages for finals tickets with other Dees supporters who also had never bought finals tickets for their own team before too was a hell of allot of fun

We actually beat the dorks at Waverly that day but for a goal umpire signaling a ball that hit the post as a goal to the dorks

what could have been, I was shattered

Yeah the feeling through those finals was magic. I was shattered all week, and doubly so for Robbie.

Have a think about what happened in each of those years... it's a great sig :)

im trying...cant think of anything good in 2003...beat collingwood or something?

getting there nugget... Bonus for me is i'll be making the gathering, made the train with a minute to spare! Hopefully the skies hold up for the occasion.

Unrelated to the way that this topic has gone. Just wanted to say I made the 4 o'clock and then was stoked to have just bought my membership and put on the new scarf just in time for Jimmy to arrive, sing the song and enter with high hopes. It was a truly disgusting game and i'm still happy with the investment I made today. Now I have to go see a shrink because I can't wait to go again next week to see us take on the cats.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
